I can't seem to do it.. when i go into cwm reset... all files stay on the sd card, pics music, and others files.

when i go into settings and reset same thing..

is there a third way to try to do it so it wipes everything?

btw i do not have an ext sd card.. just what ever storage came with the 16 gb s3

After you Odin, let it boot up and then go into settings, back up and reset, and do a factory data reset. I had to ask the same question, because I just thought Odin would do that.

I tried it only has option for external SD card which I don't have. Clicked it and said something along the lines that it failed.

Hmm mine has option for emmc which should be external card and sdcard which should be internal card. You can also plug it into your pc and right click the drive and format

Wouldn't that wipe out even the system files that are needed

Didn't when I did it on my vibrant. Pretty sure it just mounts sdcard not system or anything else. That's why you can't edit the system files through your pc that way

well the only other thing I can think is manually deleting files one by one......
dude i think im ****ed..!!! i deleted everything off the internal memory.. then i did a reset and wiped caches, now i am in cwm and cant do anything because i deleted everything even my damn nandroid back

i have it all copied to my comptuer problem is phone wont get recognized by pc now so i can copy over the nandroid folder so i can do a restore..

From what I can see zooming in you do not have auto reboot checked. Go ahead and check that and ODIN again it will take about 8 to 15 minutes to install everything. I just did that about 2 hours ago. Remember just check auto reboot and leave the other ones unchecked.
