1. update your android sdk binaries
2. download one of the roms hanging out around here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105077
put the rom where your adb binary is
3. boot your kindle into twrp
4. select "adb sideload"
5. at an elevated command prompt type "adb devices" your device should be listed with "sideload" as its current state
6. type adb sideload romname.zip
7. enjoy
I download this tool, but it stay only on "waiting for device" probably because the adb don't recognize the kindle... how to update the adb version?Alin
Download this Tool

Run it and Restore the Kindle I think its the first 2 Options you need to run. This will restore you kindle back to orignal order. Root it again, Install TWRP again, and make sure you have a rom before you wipe.
what does adb say when you type "adb devices"the adb don't recognize the Kindle... how to update the adb? i have the version 10.0.26
screw adb in twrp, we'll use twrp's terminal emulator to go to fastboot with the command idme bootmode 4
In twrp, go to advanced. then go to terminal command. then press the select folder button.
type idme bootmode 4
reboot and you're in fastboot.
to get out of fastboot mode now, you have to type fastboot -i0x1949 oem idme bootmode 1
then just reboot it.
Thank you, I did this and i used the SR Tool, but now the device is stucked on the fastboot....screw adb in twrp, we'll use twrp's terminal emulator to go to fastboot with the command idme bootmode 4

Plug up to a computer using the USB cable and type the second adb command in to a cmd window to change the bootThank you, I did this and i used the SR Tool, but now the device is stucked on the fastboot....
its not an adb command. it's a fastboot command... you need the fastboot drivers from the KFU for kf1.. only install the drivers from kfu nothing else.Plug up to a computer using the USB cable and type the second adb command in to a cmd window to change the boot
I did not need to do this I was able to just run that command and change the boot with no issuesits not an adb command. it's a fastboot command... you need the fastboot drivers from the KFU for kf1.. only install the drivers from kfu nothing else.
