Ok so this method is the most stable for me.
Coming from Stock latest vendor.
Wipe data, system, cache / dalvik.
Flash GSI as image.
Reboot and let it boot completly.
Flash stock gapps and any addon you want (the pixel theme for example).
Let it rip :)

Worked perfectly

Deleted samsung, google accounts

Install drivers
Odin flashed TWRP Download mode, disabling auto reboot in options
Booted into TWRP, kept system read only
Formatted data (not advanced wipe, just format data yes)
Reboot recovery
Advanced wipe, data
Flash dm no verity
Reboot recovery
Flash RMM state bypass
Wipe system, cache, dalvik
Extract a only xz
Copy .img file to root
Flash as a system image
Reboot
After normal boot reboot into recovery
Flash gapps and copy chrome/camera apk to download folder
Reboot
Install apks via download app
Select webview in developer options
Adjust display/ text size
Install SOD killer on play store. Run in foreground.

Thanks to @Vmb265 which I used as a basis and built upon for the above instructions.

I am flashing as image and it is done in 10 sec. After that TWRP says it has no OS installed. After reboot I enter bootloop.
Ignore that error...thats because its not a full OS its a system image. Follow MANICX guide above to the letter....i also entered loop few times but then cracked it....in case u enter loop only solution is to flash stock with odin and repeat the process ..am sure u will get it in a few tries.
P.S. dont use the linked magisk of post 2 use magisk 16.7 unmodded....worked for me

did that and after one reboot it stacks at galaxy s9 logo. I also tried many other roms and and non booted. stock based and aosp. very strange because twrp says flashing went ok on every flash. I am downloading stock firmware to flash via odin... hopefully I can restore it back to normal.

Hmmmm interesting...stock with odin will refresh your phone so no worries there but MANICX guide should have worked....although i was coming from pure stock hadnt even unlocked the bootloader before this so if u had tried some other ROM prior to this there might have been some conflict with vendor or firmware (so confusing with various vendors)....load latest stock as per region and try again:cowboy:
