[HOW TO] Get Galaxy S5 Status Bar by Editing build.prop

I don't have anymore notification on the lock screen of calls or sms messages. I reverted back and it is fixed. Does anyone else have this too?

Working fine here But instead i edited to SM-G800F in build.prop , So Status bar is working great

No it is not working, maybe I didn't explain this right. If you have an sms, you get normally a box on the top of the lock screen where you press the box and then swipe on the bottom, and then you go directly to the sms and read it. This feature is gone with this mod.

Yep. That problem has been reported by other members too. (Is not an xda member actually)

Im trying to figure out reported errors


These are some temporary fix guide:

1) Servie mode/ test mode not working
=> Install Activity Launcher on Google PlayStore and find application name and run it!

2) Multiwindow icon overlapps to other icons
=> Change your build.prop to stock (restore), Some firmware occurred error with this method.

Im doing my best. Keep trying to fix this out

Thanks it worked perfectly with my i9500 running stock rom but i need the original stock SystemUI apk + odex ( if odexed ) because the One previously posted contains % on the Battery icon and i don't want it Thanks
Just need the stock systemui apk from i9500 or i9505 both will work

Browser (stock isn't working)

Not server mode neither.

Possible Idea

On my Goldeneye 24 rom, not sure if this applies to me only, but I installed the S5 quick setting by dany__ and it might be the problem for some people who try and change the build.prop (like me, for example) but does anyone have the multi window overlapping problem but they didn't install the quick setting icon from the S5 by dany__?

Just restore that systemui to default if you apply this method. No need to use both

I have the Verizon Note 3 and unfortunately all of us are still on the JB 4.3 ROM because Verizon apparently likes taking their sweet time to push Kit-Kat out to all of us VZW Note 3 users...grrr. Would something like this be possible for Verizon Note 3 phones that are still on the oem JB 4.3 ?
