How to get Mx player Hw+ codec work in CM 10.1.3?

When ever I select the HW+ decoder in MX player app, the app'll load the video and after the first frame it'll crash. Any body know any work around? Also is this problem in CM 10.2 too..?

maybe installing the custom codec will help, in settings > download custom codec . will lead to an xda link.
you need to unzip it somewhere. and use custom codec to select the right directory
