Good to know it helped.
I wish I could get Dolby Atmos working also.
Nobody is actively porting audio mods anymore. Except for DTS I suppose.

For now the goto is to use Ainur Sauron or Narsil and/or any of Viper, JDSP, and DTS.

Obviously when it comes to audio mods, less is more though. Too much signal processing is detrimental to the audio quality and generally makes it sound worse. So I'd suggest only using one of the DSPs with one version of Ainur at most.

But in my experience the 3a(xl) doesn't really need any audiomods. The ****ty earbuds I got with mine along with decent quality audio files is more than enough clarity wise. I also got a new pair of true wireless earbuds (Liberty 2 Pros) and they sound phenomenal.

The Pixel 3a sounds very good. But with viper I can simulate a wider soundstage on my Bluetooth earbuds, and they sound way better than they deserve. I have a pair of soundcore liberty 2 that are bass heavy, even with the Anker app. They give you many presets, but not a custom one, go figure.
About Dolby Atmos, I realize that two apps could over process sound, but on my Galaxy S7, I had a pretty good balance. Plus I like to experiment a bit.

Thanks for the info btw

Not sure if I did something wrong but this obliterated my battery life. I went from 9-10 hrs screen time to 3 1/2.
No battery issues here.
In fact, the only problem I have is that sometimes viper stops working and I have to restart the phone.
I have no mods/modules installed other than viper4a.
