Did you try any of the ones I listed? Try test 4. I usually use that one when I'm slowed down. That boost my speed right back up!

AT&T TEST 4 HSDPA Worked for me but I tweaked it.

For the APN Type I'm using default, supl, agps, fota, dun, mms, hipri I'm an overkill kinda guy.

I rebooted twice and my downloads jumped from 6 down (I don't have lte in my city) to 11 megs down and now its 5 megs up on 4G. Oh and the 4G is solid.

Funny thing happened, after the 2nd reboot apps that needed updated started to download right away. Its much faster and I'm much happier now. Running CleanROM ACE 4.9.0

All hail the APN knowledge gods.

Go into setting, then more settings, mobile networks, access point name! Hit the left soft key, hit +New apn! Set up your new apn then after that hit the left menu key again click save! Done:D;)

Hi Bajanman - I don't know if this matters but thought I would ask.

I have on the stock att apn you listed added things

APN protocol IPv4 with a choice of IPv4 or IPv6 or IPv4/IPv6
Enable/Disable APN Enabled with a check mark. It is also grayed out.
Bearer Unspecified with choices of LTE or eHRPD or the Unspecified

Yeah I know what you mean, about them being grayed out. Meaning we can't access them?? I'm thinking it's a setting within the SIM card itself. But don't quote me on that. That's just my assumption. Lol
But I'm do a lil digging and see if there's a way to get those changed ok.

Tried these APNs because I'm getting throttled. No luck. I'm at 8gbs so far this month and can only manage 1 down (if that)

So you tried all of them and no luck? Even after a reboot. Actually all you need to do is toggle airplane mode, and it'll switch to the new apn! Hopefully that'll help you get back a lil speed. I went thru the same thing but#4 gave me a lil speed back. I was at 8 gigs+ and still was getting 50+mb download speed. So try that see if it helps you out!

Yeah they can slow you down... and if you were tethering then that makes it even worst on you! Especially if it's not on your plan.. they'll slow you down to barely nothing under 1 mb!

So after changing to the other Apn,, and after toggle airplane mode.
Note: stay on airplane mode for a few minutes b4 switching it back on. That way the phone will reset to the new one!?

Still no change?? Wow mine usually would go back up to like at least standard dsl speed. Which is about 3-5mb sec. You must be on that 5% high usage list. I was on it b4 when I was using a lot of gigs 8-12 gigs mo. From downloading Rom's while on the go!!

I have tethered just under 400mb this month. Last month apparently I used 9gbs of data. Have never once received a tethering warning of even a message that they were going to throttle me! (I thought they did that??)

They do send out msg's. Happen to me when I was using mine too play Xbox live, not a good idea.. Lol

Well if you got no msg that's a good thing. What I think is that if your always that high all the time. Then that's why they're hitting you like that. Because your constantly over the so called 5 gig cap:eek::thumbdown:. Putting you into they're high usage bracket! It's like 5-10% of customers that go over! Even if you have unlimited data.. then they show ya down!! BS I say..

Sorry bro, couldn't get you some speed back!!
