Thank you for your response. I've been trying to input the info you have for att lte all day but it doesn't want to save. I push the save option and then when I look all it says is this

What Rom? Kernel
And I'm not sure why it's not saving?

Any idea which I can use to force my phone to stay on 3g and lower? 4g/LTE is crappy in my area.
You can try
*#2263# from the dialer menu to set it to 2g only!

Sorry about that. I'm on the Galaxy S4 Active, with no root; all stock. It's constantly jumping back and fourth, looking for LTE.

I don't remember if that's the code I tried the other day, but I'll give it a shot.

Thanks.

used straight talk settings for h20 wireless

Used the settings for straight talk and changed the name to h20 wireless.

After changing the apn I was also able to change network mode to include lte in automatic settings.

My speeds are greatly improved although I have not been able to see lte speeds as I live outside of town, and mountainblocks the signal here. The map shows that I am in lte area so will test when i get there.

Tested data and mms works.

I am on ezkat 4.4.2 at this time with agni kernel. Very few problems with this rom in my experience, and constantly improving. Can't wait to see what Seanzscreams will come up with when he starts working on it.

Thanks again Bajanam for working so quickly, and being as organized as you are on your threads.

Enjoy!!

Thanks a lot for these. Really cool to have such a comprehensive list. So far the default for the ATT Note 2 seems to work the best for me, I gave TEST 4 a try when I noticed data getting slower a few days ago in a different area and it seemed to help boost the speeds a little after doing some speed tests.

That's great it helped boost the speed back up. Yeah that's the same one that helped me in the pass. [emoji106][emoji106]

Not sure what Rom your using being on that old OS 4.1.1...
Anyhow ya might want to write down what's already there. Then delete the current one you have. Then enter your new one, then you hit the menu button and save it. Hope that helps you. If not lmk

This is a guide for changing your apn for throttling issues or trying to get a better signal.

Here's a list of the ATT APN list that I put together. I have tested these some work with everything DATA,LTE,MMS,VOICE, ETC. And some of them were request from other members here. So I just posted what was asked for into one location. If they work for you keep them if not, just delete and keep the ones you'll b using. NEVER DELETE THE STOCK APN JUST IN CASE!
If I run across any others I sure to add them here.
If anyone has any that I missed let me know and I'll add them to the list...:)

#1.Go into setting, then more setting, mobile networks, then pick Access point Names.
#2. In order to enter a new APN, hit the left menu key. Pick New APN, then enter your APN setting as listed below. After that hit Menu again then save! Then you can select that Apn, by hitting the dot next to the new apn
Everyone's results will vary, pending on location...

Default Galaxy Note2 Apn setting! This is what comes stock on the phone!
Name: ATT PHONE
APN: phone
Proxy: ~Not set~
Port: ~Not set~
Username: ~Not set~
Password: ~Not set~
Server: ~Not set~
MMSC:http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type:
APN type: default,mms,supl

Name: AT&T LTE
APN: pta
Proxy: ~Not set~
Port: 80
Username: ~Not set~
Password: ~Not set~
Server: ~Not set~
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type:
APN type: default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri,internet

Tried this one also and everything works fine but it seems like it stays on H and H+ more often.
Name: AT&T TEST 1
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: ~Not set~
Password: ~Not set~
Server: ~Not set~
MMSC: ~Not set~
MMS Proxy: ~Not set~
MMS Port: ~Not set~
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type:
APN type: default,supl,agps,fota,dun

Now this one connects to the network but it defaults back to the stock apn after a few minutes. Not sure if its just my phone or not so that's why I posted it anyway. Because someone had asked for it..
Name: AT&T TEST 2
APN: broadband
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: ~Not set~
Password: ~Not set~
Server: ~Not set~
MMSC: ~Not set~
MMS Proxy: ~Not set~
MMS Port: ~Not set~
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: ~Not set~
APN type: tether

Same thing with this one as to Test 2. Connects but then defaults back to stock!
Name: AT&T TEST 3 MM
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC:http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: ~Not set~
APN type: mms,supl

Now this APN works just like the stock but may speed up your data, if your begin throttled from using to much DATA!
Name: AT&T TEST 4 HSDPA
APN: phone
Proxy: ~Not set~
Port: ~Not set~
Username: ~Not set~
Password: ~Not set~
Server: ~Not set~
MMSC: ~Not set~
MMS Proxy: ~Not set~
MMS Port: ~Not set~
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: ~Not set~
APN type: default,supl,agps,fota,dun

NO problems with this one either. Tested everything and all works great! Maybe a little faster pending on what area your in!
Name: AT&T TEST 5
APN: PTA
Proxy: ~Not set~
Port: ~Not set~
Username: ~Not set~
Password: ~Not set~
Server: ~Not set~
MMSC:http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMSC proxy: 66.209.11.32
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: ~Not set~
APN type : default,supl,mms,hipri

For those on the straight talk plan...
Name: Straight Talk
Name: Straight Talk
APN: att.mvno
Proxy: not set
Port: not set
MMSC:http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS Port: 80
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri

Just trying to help out where I can:cool:

Maybe you didn't reboot after changing the setting. And btw it's not going to give you full speed back. But bring back a lil better speed to your device!!.
One other thing don't ever quote the whole OP on any thread OK. Thanx
