[HOW TO] [GUIDE] Enable Google Assistant for Language EU

TESTED ON ONEPLUS 5 4.5.14​

1. Install Assistant apk from:

2. Flash this zip on TWRP and then reboot:
[url]https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/flashable-zip-google-lens-pixel-2-t3693859[/URL]

3. Add the last two lines and edit the first two lines on build.prop and then reboot :

ro.product.brand=Google
ro.product.manufacturer=Google
ro.product.model=Pixel 2 XL
ro.opa.eligible_device=true

PLEASE USE ONLY FX FILE MANAGER TO EDIT THE BUILD.PROP

4. Set ENGLISH (US) language in settings, open Assistant and select START. THEN set YOUR language and re-open assistant app and then finish the configuration.

5. Re Change in build.prop the line in:

ro.product.manufacturer=Oneplus

6. Reboot.

Please tell me exactly how I edit build.prop
I hace changed the two first lines that hoy put, and then I added the other two to the end of the file.


EDIT: Tried reflasing rom, followed that steps and now it's working!

Tried to revert back after using the assistant by changing the options as they were before and ended up bricking my device . Don't forget to make a nandroid backup before messing with your device.

This method enables correctly Assistant but it breaks Ok Google from eveywhere
Now it works only on google now launcher

Definetly working and assistant works perfectly fine in italian. Will Ok google be enabled again when assistant will officially release? If not, what should be done to undo all the changes made here in the process without bricking like @elbuenzurdo did?

For some reason, mine shows a screen saying Google Assistant is only not available in Spanish (Spain) yet. I've followed all the steps, no idea what can have gone wrong

Apparently after this method google photo stops working, it immediately crashes as soon as I try to open it

Edit: it was crashing because of a substratum theme I was using (stupid me), uninstalled the overlay and Google photo now works, ok Google not yet

Thank you for the guide! I've just activated Spanish and it's working flawlessly excepting the 'OK Google' everywhere function.

By the way, I didn't flashed the zip on the second step and it works anyway.
