IT WORKS NOW !!!! You have to install the Google Contacts APP, synchronize them, and open WhatsApp from the contact you want to call or message. https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...

Once WhatsApp is installed, you have to install the "Google Contacts" application, then make a synchronization.
And from the Google Contacts App you can use WhatsApp.
Unfortunately if you want to open WhatsApp directly it closes.
That is why the need to Install the Google Contacts App.

Hello Miguel. I have tried using your tutorial to make whatsapp work on my galaxy watch 4 classic. But I have encountered some issues, The first time, I downloaded the Apk of whatsapp from the official website. But all the app did everytime I got to the last step, it just said "Initializing" for a very long time but then got some error. The second time, I tried installing the Apk from a different website like Uptodown, but this time, after the first setup, everytime I try and open the app it instantly closes. Do you have any solution to at least one of those problems?

Hola Miguel. Intenté usar tu tutorial para hacer que WhatsApp funcione en mi Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Pero me encontré con algunos problemas. La primera vez, descargué el Apk de whatsapp del sitio web oficial. Pero todo lo que hizo la aplicación cada vez que llegué al último paso, simplemente decía "Inicializando" durante mucho tiempo, pero luego recibía un error. La segunda vez, intenté instalar el Apk desde un sitio web diferente como Uptodown, pero esta vez, después de la primera configuración, cada vez que intento abrir la aplicación, se cierra instantáneamente. ¿Tiene alguna solución para al menos uno de esos problemas?

I do not have the option to choose Whatsapp from the send message in contacts, it instantly opens in the normal messages app

I got it to work, but I cant send any messages to groups on whatsapp, and I do not think its worth it only having it on the smartwatch and not both smartwatch and phone.

To send a WhatsApp to a group, you can solve it by searching for a contact from that group and viewing the contact information. Now it is clear that it is somewhat limited, and is for use with a phone number independent of the Smartphone. For example, if the Smartwatch is LTE, you can install WhatsApp with the esim number and not have to carry the Smartphone with you. What would be great would be to be able to clone WhatsApp and use it on both devices with the same number. But for now you can't. Greetings.



Para enviar un WhatsApp a un grupo, puede resolverlo buscando un contacto de ese grupo y ver la información de contacto. Ahora está claro que es algo limitado, y es para usar con un número de teléfono independiente del Smartphone. Por ejemplo, si el Smartwatch es LTE, puedes instalar WhatsApp con el número de esim y no tener que llevar el Smartphone encima. Lo que sería genial sería poder clonar WhatsApp y usarlo en ambos dispositivos con el mismo número. Pero por ahora no puedes. Saludos.

Can you explain the sending messages to a Whatsapp group more specifically? I can't get it to work for me..
