[HOW TO] Install GAPPS on the Fire HD6/HD7

Guys, I got Google Keep 3.0.01 to work on my Kindle HD 6!! There might be a newer Keep apk that works, that was the first one that popped up when I google searched for it.

Also, how do you get Google Now to work? The Google Search is working, but it wont let me use Google Now because it says some location services are not available. How did you get around that?

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure about how to get G now working. I only got working what you did. @BobJayJr seems to have got it working but I don't know how.

The last OTA update clobbered Google Now on my HDX, sorry. Thinking about trying this workaround (or similar) to get around location services when I get a chance (http://help.unotelly.com/support/ar...that-require-location-services-apps-like-wwe- )

BTW Google Calendar also works with your hack.

Try [GUIDE] Set up ADB and Fastboot on a Mac easily (With Screenshots!) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1917237). Really no coding involved and terminal command are definitely good to know.

Hey Imma Wake, I am the guy who wrote you on YouTube. Sorry for popping into this thread but I still didn't find a solution for my problem so maybe someone can help. As I said I followed your instructions and got everything working, except YouTube which was the reason I did this in the first place. I have a kindle fire hdx 7 .Here is a screenshot so you can see what I mean.

All the videos stop immediately after starting to play and I get like 27 hours etc. wtf??

Short update : I've deinstalled the Youtube app and installed the old 5.3.24 version and it worked! I then updated it with the latest version and it is still working! So for some reason the app you had in your gapps zip didn't do the job for me.

I don't see Chrome mentioned anywhere. I installed it on a 7HD (2014) and it worked for a couple of days, now it just opens and then closes, any ideas or solutions? Thanks!

Last night I uninstalled Chrome, did a reboot, and installed Chrome from an older version that I had saved on my phone. Working now but will see what happens in a couple of days.

on windows 8 i cant access ADB following all the instructions the hd 6 is on latest firmwae and adb is enabled

do a quick google search for minimal adb use that install should get you going in no time.
