[HOW TO] Install GAPPS on the Fire HD6/HD7

Just a noob question.

Is it possible to undo the command/commands that were used to install gapps?
Does the reset to factory defaults undo it?

PS: I'd sideloaded Broken Sword 5 and it runs fine except that I always get a notification about "get google play services" when starting the game. Does installing gapps fix it?

Yes a factory reset would. Or just uninstalling all the Google stuff. I would thing that this would fix your game also

I wanted to know about clash of clans and the fire HD 6. I looked up a way to install clash of clans on the fire and it worked.

Except I could not get my current village to load since I needed to be signed into my Google + account.

If I did the steps on your video do you think it would load my village?

Broken Sword 5 prompted me for my Google+ account in which it worked using Inna Wake's (author/op) workaround.
Maybe it would also work on Clash of Clans since it also uses the same G+ authentication.

Just updated FireGapps with many of the newer apps and the newer Google services

Hi

Thanks SO much for this. Have just tried it. GMail is working fine, but I can't get the YouTube app to work. Have installed the apk from the zip file - seemed to install ok with no errors but when I open it, it goes to a blank screen and then back to the home screen. Have I missed something else I need to do with ADB?

Really appreciate your help as am desperate to get the YouTube app to work.

Hey, thanks for all your work on the Fire HD! I just installed these, but I couldn't get Chrome working. I tried the Chrome Beta apk you linked to but that didn't work, let me know if you have another version that works somewhere.

Edit: Just tried this again and Chrome now works. I signed into a google account for one of the apps (forgot which) and that might have done it, not sure what else it could have been.

Yes, Youtube works fine for me with the apk in the OP (downloaded it just today).

Yes, gmail works fine. Before doing the work around, youtube came up with an error message to say I need a google account - now it doesn't open at all.

I installed from 1onemarket google camera and it works, also photosphere works.
Fire hd6.

Is possible (and how?) add Photo (g+ photo) icon on main screen?

I went ahead and tried and it appears once installed correctly, you can go ahead and update them with the new ones with no issues.
