How to install Honor Note 8 Emui 5.0 B350/B332/B320 ROM with Root

Based on translations, its beta. Final in April probably. But running B322 with root, no issues so far.

So in short: Custom Rom to Stock:

1) Leave bootloader unlocked
2) Go into Twrp
3) Install, Choose update.b27.zip (If attempting from Twrp)
4) Install will fail.
5) Hold Vol+ and power button to get into WLan recovery
6) Connect to WLan
7) Rom should download and install
8) UInlocked bootloader and stock in place, No Root. (If rooted wanted, try Kingroot, did not try myself yet)

REQUEST anyone who has the English version of HiVoice (Not De-Odex) please share, I am trying to replace the chinese version with the English verison

B332 from what I see is not a full update but a minor update fix, its too small to be an update from EMUI 4.1 or MM 6.0, you need B320 to get B332.

If anyone wants I can make available all versions of roms available, full and ota. Just a side note B320 is ONLY OTA there is no clean full install of this rom. B029 is the last full and ota rom See attached.

No nothing new in b332, I'd wait for major update. I rooted B332, didn't root B320.

I'm pretty sure that only a Chinese version of this phone exists. Why they have not as of yet made an international version I don't know.

after all it is I believe that phones bootloader that was used to enable us to install Nougat/EMUI5 on our Honor Note 8's. So I'm guessing they must be very similar?

I do believe the Honor 8 apks can be used, the question is which one of the variants has the english version and which one are not de-odexed. And just an FYI the bootloader of Honor note 8 hasnt been changed, its been unlocked, I think you might be thinking the decrypted boot.img to install EMUI 5, which I dont use.

Welp that didnt work, just tried replacing the apk from another rom in honor 8 and got nowhere.

But I did find a few more things:

It seems Honor 8 and Honor note 8 have very similar hardware, Anyone try flashing an Honor 8 rom onto a Honor note 8 phone?

If titanium works, it is not so big job...if stay on part 1 I have newest unrooted untwrp rom which can see new OTA upd? @letschky I plan in the moment to revert to stock b029 on some period. What I need to do, when install it to have Data partition possible to backup (maybe I explain bad sorry

At the moment there is no official Ota update probably next month.
