How to install Honor Note 8 Emui 5.0 B350/B332/B320 ROM with Root

Thanks for your reply. Strange thing is, I have 2 x Honor Note 8, and both of them have same issue soon after the upgrade. I did not root, but used the automatic update after changing my region to China. I guess its called OTA but i am not sure.

Please suggest if anyone else has the same issue with bluetooth and barclays application.

Yes first flash the Insecure Boot img,
then Supersu,
then Update data cn zip,
then Update.zip,
then Supersu again
and reboot

I didn't root because i have some questions.. if you can answer it to me..
After i flash supersu for first time, why i have to flash the update data+ update. zip?
This 2 zips are the nougat rom? Because im on official nougat and as i remember when i was rooting in 027 029 and before, i only had to flash su and it was ready.. why this now?
what will happen if i only flash insecure boot, then custom recovery flash su and just reboot?

Hi,
yeasterday I updated to EMUI 5 - Nougat 7 (from version 6.0). OTA, hard reset as well. Disappointed from battery performance (I did hard reset as well) and non-functional lower screen-resolution (nothing changed after turn on "Low resolution power saving", still QHD, I want FullHD). On the other hand, a lot of new features appeared, it looks promising in the future. Hope final (non-beta) firmware version will come soon.

B332 is the stable version, is is being deployed right now.

If the battery is important for you, don't install B332, its too bad, Android Nougat system consumes a lot of battery. And there is no way how to get back to previous version...

You can go back, read post 62. It should still work.

thanks for reply, but there is need for TRWP and thats the problem. There is no TRWP for EMUI 5.0.

There is a Twrp for Emui 5.0.
I use Twrp 3.1.0.0 from Honor 8.
No Proplem with all.

I test this manual and works,but it takes very long.
And at the end you will see the update B332

Ok,there is a another way to go back to B029,with Hi Suite,

I go back to B029 with Hi Suite and i think it save the Full Update.app from B029 to my Pc.

Ok,in 30min go back from B332 to B029 via Hi Suite
Is much faster than with the other method.
Fortunately, I still have a backup of B029 on my SD card,because I do not have to set up again
