Hello,

I bought a Honor 10 COL-AL10 in China and would like to install the international/global ROM on it, because some things on the phone sticks on Chinese language and I think I'm not realizing its full potential.

Can someone help?

Installing an international ROM may need bootloader unlock code.
Some configurations, Huawei Assistant, SmartCare, even in English language they are shown in Chinese. Also, with every atualization of the EMUI, the Play Store is uninstalled. And some Huawei apps that are all Chinese and others functions not working, like the Find Phone.

What is the bootloader unlock code? How do i get it?

What is ur system build number? My build number is 10.0.0.156. I switched to English (I am a Chinese user so for me, it's not a problem )and found that only part of Magazine Unlock, HiVoice ,a small part of SmartCare, a small part of Hitouch and a small part of HiSearch are shown in Chinese. Also, some apps designed for Chinese users such as Honor Choice and Vmall are shown in Chinese.
You can try to open AppGallery--Me--Settings--Country/Region, select your own Country/Region and then restart the phone. If the problem still exists, you can read the thread "Successfully rebanding Chinese COL-AL10 to European COL-L29", but you need a bootloader unlock code. Bootloader is something that can be used to flash different partitions in your phone(if it is unlocked), but it can be easy for you to brick your phone if you don't use the right files to flash. However, Huawei stopped providing bootloader unlock code in 2018. Plus, you can also send an email to Huawei to ask for a solution.

And Google play isn't automatically uninstalled, I think. You can't see it because it's version is too low. Last year, you might be able to use AppGallery to update it. But it's said that Huawei has stopped cooperating with Google recently, so you can't find Google play in AppGallery(at least in China) now. HUAWEI is trying to make HMS more and more popular in the world recently, so you can try AppGallery. I'll search the Internet for the way to make Google Play show again later.

S the Play Store is uninstalled.
A Chinese App called 应用宝 may help(I only know some Chinese apps because I'm a Chinese), you can search for "Google play store" in the app and tap 更新, which means 'update'.
