how to install signed apps (sense ui apps) on htc magic

sorry if i'm posting this in a wrong section, but an idea came to my mind:
is it possible for me to install, for example HTC_Albums or HTC_Music or one of those apps from a Hero ROM for Magic, or maybe that Motorola Gallery from one of those 2.1 ROMs?

when i try to simply install it from phone, it says "this app couldn't be installed on your phone".
is it because it is a signed app or is it because of the incompatible firmware version?

i'm currently on 1.6 and would like to have better gallery and music app (maybe the one from Hero Sense UI ROMs...), without waiting fore some of the devs and mods to implement it into their ROM...

im going to guess and say if it hasnt been done it probably cant. although it would hurt to try and pull it from another rom and build it into yours?

Most HTC apps are tied to the HTC framework and cannot run on non-SenseUI ROMs, unfortunately.
