When I try to copy the ric file from the root explorer
Then the System is reboot
I'm unable to copy the ric file to the system\bin

Is adb shell can do it?? so that it maybe fast enough to replace the ric
If so, would anyone like to write a simple script??

Thanks~~

PS: Seem adb not help, once I use command to remount the system to RW
Then the system will reboot
even I write a script the file still can't move on

7.0.A.3.195 locked boot-loader rooting

[ HOW TO] ROOT 7.0.A.3.195 FW via OTA Update?

Having a bit of an issue understanding the process. I have a xperia T lt30a. with a "Build Number 7.0.A.3.195", I will assume firmware = build number in this case. Naming conventions always bother me, always getting in the way of a clear explanation. I have installed a root viewer x-plore. from these steps I gather I have to download these files on the phone it self and then transfer with this app to the proper directories. I am unsure as to the exact process since the statement of "actually" gets me nervous, like the logical path is wrong in the steps. am I on the right firmware? do I have to downgrade the firmware first? it seems like step 6, 7, 8 have a logical flaw. I will be downgrading to 7.0.A.1.303, then i "actually" need to be at 7.0.A.3.195?? so is there even a need to do the downgrade at all? as well the downgrade file is almost 500 megs not 40 megs. maybe I am missing something here?

Ok actually if you are on .303
Do you ROOT only with the V11 on the FIRST post?

Do not use other file!

I'm sorry you're right, I downgrade to 303, root device, install ota ok, copy file ric reboot.
Other test : downgrade to 303, root device, copy file ric reboot.

I do not know what it's the file ric, if it's neccesary or not.

Thanks.

I don`t get: before i start OTA update i should put ORIGINAL ric file, and then, after update, i should put the MODDED ric file ? Maybe this is wrong and firstly i should put the MODDED ric file and after that put ORIGINAL ?
It do`esn`t make sense at all... :(

After updating OTA to 7.0.A.3.195 I used ADB in a batch file to copy the modified RIC file to /system/bin
Here's what to do.
Using ES explorer, Root Explorer or whatever is your favoured file manager copy the modified RIC file to /data/local/tmp/ (I already had a copy of the file there as i'd rooted using Bin4ry's Root with Restore v15).
Create a Batch File containing the following:

@echo off
COLOR 0A
echo rebooting phone
stuff\adb.exe reboot
ping -n 10 127.0.0.1 > NUL
echo Waiting for device to come up again....
stuff\adb.exe wait-for-device

echo Going to copy RIC file to it's place
stuff\adb.exe shell "su -c /system/xbin/busybox mount -o remount,rw /system"
stuff\adb.exe shell "su -c /system/xbin/busybox mv /data/local/tmp/ric /system/bin/ric"
stuff\adb.exe shell "su -c chmod 644 /system/bin/ric"
stuff\adb.exe reboot
GOTO FINISH

:FINISH
echo All Done! You can now close this command-prompt window.
pause

Save the batch file in the same directory that you extracted Bin4ry's root with restore to. Run the batch file.

Thanks to Bin4ry as the Runme.bat batch file he uses for his Root with Restore toolkit was the inspiration for this.
