How to make download mode working

I just can into fastboot mode and 9008,flash laf_a and laf_b will not make download mode working

I had a similar problem in which I lost access to the download mode. Follow this guide by @Awesomeslayerg (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg...to-recover-hardbrick-9008-mode-boxes-t4052841); it helped me fix my G7.

As a side note, I remember flashing various laf files but it didn't work for me either. I had messed up the files real bad; it needed a clean installation & that is exactly what that guide does. If you get stuck, feel free to message me or leave a comment on that post.
