How to manually install firmware

Hi everyone, I just bought my asus transformer 300 yesterday and I am eager to start playing with it... I am coming from the HP touchpad (rooted with ICS) which died last week. I am currently running .17 and noticed the firmware update on the site and downloaded it. Now what? Do i have to mount the Transfomer on my computer and install from there? If there are instructions could someone point me toward them... thank you!

Also looking forwarded to installing the boot unlock and installing some custom roms. Still very unfamiliar with this tablet and cant find easy instructions anywhere.

Some users have had issues with unlocking after upgrading to the latest ROM so if you intend to unlock do that 1st then download the ROM and put on the external SD card, reboot and it will prompt you to install after that:

Fiemware is zipped,so unzip once put on your sd and follow installer

Think you just extract it once so the ZIP file is WW.Asus Blah 9.xx.xxx.29.zip IIRC

Dont extract it to the blob file, thats too far

Ok so I've unzipped once and have the file sitting in my external sd. Now what do you mean by follow the installer? Sorry for all the questions!

Switch tablet off and back on. When it reboots you will get a notification the taskbar that there is an update file ready for you
