Guys, ds mod works in general. For those with Magisk module issues : please check if you HAD AML module installed BEFORE flashing ds mod. If so, that can be the culprit. Remove ds module and AML module, reboot, flash ds module, reboot, flash AML, reboot.
AML making backup of mixer_paths.xml. If you had it, mixer_paths.xml will be always replaced by that one AML backuped previously.
Try and let us know.

V7 oreo magisk didn't work, I had no sound at all !!

Btw I have clean magisk with no modules.. ..
after that tried v6 and works perfectly,
what's the problem with v7?

V6 was the version I made for Android 8.
Don't know what he did change to V7.

Sir there's a different mod from Xostl and i i am using it it isnt too loud but i am atleast now not worried about earpiece and most noticably there is no metallic vibration i was using your mod before his there was much vibration on back off phone at the area of earpiece are these 2 mods same or is there any different.

I posted this somewhere else, but since you guys may have some insight I thought I'd ask here as well:

Is there any way of increasing the bluetooth headset media audio volume on the Exynos Note 8? I've attempted to modify mixer_gains.xml but, unlike most of the options there, there's what appears to be a path there :

<path name="gain-media-bt-sco-headset">
</path>

With no option to modify the gain. Since I'm not familiar with how this all works, I can't see a way of increasing the volume. It'd be really helpful, since I run with my headphones on and would prefer not to use aux cables which seem to break every other week. The bluetooth volume is so low compared to the volume through a modified mixer_gains / aux cable, at least 10db lower.

I can upload the mixer_paths/gains.xml files if that'll help.

Sadly after flasing this on latest Renovate ICE on CRC7 my phone can't boot and doesn't get past the boot screen. Tried both Magisk method & manual method.
