Yes, it still enables it but they must have made another change to how it works. It worked before the last update. I did make it work, but would rather not tell samsung how.. lol Thanks!
[HOW TO] Native hotspot without root NC5D & maybe others

Works on all official stock roms, even the latest for every device.. and they haven't changed anything at all. Which official rom are you on and how did you update to it?
I am on stock NK4, all i did was root with CF then run your program to turn on the hotspot.
I am not rooted and am able to edit my apn with the oc5 update with just my msl through the ##data# menu.
I was able to add dun and get hotspot without root.
I already had my msl number. The spcutility app doesn't seem to work anymore. Does anyone know of a way (other than calling/chatting Sprint) to get msl so I can do this for a couple friends that are skeered to root?

Hey, the msl utility doesn't work anymore on lollipop. Is there any other way to get the APN?
I kept telling my friend that wanted me to add his hotspot to call sprint to get his msl.
He finally did today. He told them he was planning on selling his phone and wanted to be able to unlock it in case the buyer was in another country.
They advised him that he was still under contract. He said he wouldn't be cancelling his service, just changing phones.
They gave him his msl without hesitation.
I added ,dun for him on each of his apn's and successfully activated his hotspot without root. Oh, his phone is an s5 running 5.0.

You will need to root to get this done.
I have posted the command to send somewhere on here. You don't need sqlite editor like others say.

If none of the settings are leaving you with a working device, find "NV Rebuild" in the ServiceMode menu and use it.
A ##scrtn# may possibly get you working again also.
