Oh, i just want to know if ASO strategy should be changed? Does the order Google Play list apps/games changes after time. I know that they based on total installs, ratings, backlink.... but don't know if it's still right up-to-now

Prior to promote Android app, you should form a general promotion strategy. It means that all steps you made for making your app popular need to be through before the app launch. You can go for two ways:
1) Focus on free promotional tactics first;
2) Use free methods of advertising to get desired traffic faster.

Essential free promotion activities are:

  • App Store Optimization (ASO) for ensuring a high rank of your app in the app stores. Use services as SensorTower, ASOdesk, etc which help to create the title and description with relevant keywords.
  • Make the app more attractive for potential users. Prepare informing screenshots and make an eye-catching logo for draw attention of a large number of people.
  • Pitch bloggers and journalist who are specialised on writing app reviews. You can also try to write press release and reach journalists who will be interested in your app and promote it among their readers. In order to make this process more effective I advise you to read a book “Pitch Perfect: The Art of Promoting Your App on the Web”. It is written by journalists Steve Sande and Erica Sadun who have worked on mobile app reviews for many years.
  • Use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other popular social media in your region. Make pages dedicated to your app and join groups for posting information about the app, sharing links to it in App Store.

When you performed steps mentioned above, you are ready to start a paid promotional campaign. The most common method to get traffic quickly is through paid CPI advertising (you will pay only for real users who have downloaded your app) and acquire non-incentivized mobile traffic (real users who have made own decision to download the app based on the topic of that app or they have just liked the ad banner or a video).

I work with Clickky. Its launched self-serve platforms for user acquisition and mobile monetization are tailored to the needs of app developers, agencies and networks.

Working with Clickky, you’ll be able to:

  • start small as we allow to spend only $100 for a mobile ad campaign
  • analyze the cheapest and most expensive countries and OS to advertise in due to CPI prediction tool – we show you the average install price for every region selected in the real time
  • to get access to real-time statistics of your ad campaign
  • to optimize your mobile CPI campaigns according to performance
  • to blacklist traffic sources that bring smaller Retention Rate

You can learn more about Clickky's self-serve platform for advertisers here: goo.gl / MwoHXM

What is the best and free way to get maximum of installs?

I have an App https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.msb How can I get more installs for it. It is educational and free. There are plenty of kids who whould benefit from it. But the Google Play doesn't rate it well. Seem like I need more installs. But it is free app and I am not going to pay for installs. What can I do about that?

You need installs and ratings to get higher ratings. Installs you can get with services that are use advertising or services that just do installs. With advertising you are getting installs from users that might use your app. But those users often are not happy with your app, they uninstall it and can give you the bad rating.
With services that just do installs you will not get new users, but all installs will be kept on the devices for a long time, and you will get ratings/reviews that you paid off. It will boost your app rating in the Google Play. The Promo is pretty good, the prices are the cheapest and your app will be kept on devices for a year.

I recently joined keyapp.top service. They have very polite and competent support and useful functions. Quite quickly my application got to the top of the keywords I promoted in this service. I recommend everyone to try.

Promote Your App easily & cost-effectively

Well being working on different App marketing projects. I'd tell you that, Promoting your app on CPI model ( Cost Per Install ) is the best.
You only pay when a user installs your app and it's a real user who installs your app, uses it and write reviews. Right now the best app promoting tool is myTarget, it gives you the results that you want. You can target desired audience, get installs reach millions and what not.

Mobile App Development

Publish your app on top websites is such a great way for any app to get popularity in very short time. These sites present your app with its app attractive and key factors details.

It’s such a good platform to interact with app users directly. If your app publish on top websites then its show every day to app users, so you can get lots of installs and good positive reviews also.

Think of adtech software. Everyone who wants to promote something, an app specifically, need a certain platform that enables one to coordinate the management. As a rule such platforms enable advertisers to measure, manage, and optimize their online advertising investments to drive financial performance, time savings, and better business decisions. Hi, I'm a new app developer and I recently published my first app on the android market. Unfortunently I'm not getting any downloads besides those from friends. I've tried posted in app development forums like this one but that did not create an downloads. I also tried running an admob campaign and that did not create any downloads. I've been reading through the forums here and at other sites and it seems people won't download unless you have reviews and other people downloading. If others won't download because no downloads then nobody will download. I would really appreciate any advice. I'm not expecting or hoping for 10000 + downloads but I was hoping for at least 5 downloads since it's been almost 3 weeks now. Thanks for the suggestions.
Good reviews lead to more people downloading the app. Best way is to use any review exchange community . It gives more genuine reviews than paid reviews . Now a days Google has some strict policy against paid reviews . So use any good Review Exchange sites . I recommend " Appreviewdesk " . From my experience it gives more genuine reviews than other sites .

App Marketing tips

1. Use your website
If you’re asking “where do I promote my app?”, then your website is the first source you should think of because it’s a total “zero budget campaign” and you already have your visitors. Your app needs to be featured across your website so your customers know it’s a real-deal and that you truly invested in it as a new platform to better customer experience.
Including your mobile app promotion on your site can be done by using a “Get the App” Call to Action, by designing a landing page exclusively for the app or using a banner display whenever someone visits your site.
2. Share Across Social Media
Using your Business Social Media for mobile app promotion is pretty much a must. Don’t forget to update your social media with posts/posters/banners that promote your new app like Twitter Header Image or your Facebook Cover Photo. Facebook also allows you to create CTAs that you can use to encourage people to download your app.
3. Feature The App in Your Emails
Any emails sent to your customers even it’s a support, newsletter, payment confirmation or Ads should include a link/code to advertise and download your app. You can also put the download link in your email signature.
Provide them with useful and valuable information so they will ultimately be more inclined to download your app.

I am also interested in this issue.
My practical experience:
advertising budget 400$:
1. google ads: very expensive. many deletes after installation.
2. appbrain: better, but result is little.
In theory:
3. ASO.
4. write on forums and reviews.
5.create groups on facebook, twitter and instagram.

I try "Appreviewdesk" and get only 1 review.
What similar sites are there?

Reviews, advertising, ASO, marketing tools, website... There are many methods to promote it, everything depends on money and time you are ready to spend on this. You can do it personally or with the help of the service( I can recommend App Reviews for this). Advice: begin from ASO, it's an important part of your marketing!

    Increase SEO of app..
In app details, enter large no. of keywords related with the app. Also, enter name of other similar popular apps as keyword.

It'll not just increase visibility in built-in search results, but also on external search engines and curators!

Create a campaign (which not means admob)

By my experience you need prepare your "campaign" before publishing your app on Google Play, to start every possible channels at once. This can create a "snow ball" effect and help with startup your app.

Your app will be 30 days in New App category, there you have a chance get place in top positions.

    At the same time try:
    1) ask all your testers, friends, family to download and rate your app
    2) create a interesting/funny video on Youtube, send it through Twitter, Facebook to your friends and ask them to share
    3) create "press release" with all important informations and uniqueness of your app, send it to Android App related servers
    4) short info about releasing the app put in all posible announcement forums
    5) keep tracking of published info and reviews and put them back to twitter/facebook/...

During the first 30 days you can get some downloads, everything after that will be much harder.
    Goog luck.

Few words about google play app pronotion

Empirically, I determined that a new application has to be seen through search Google play. Search is all that we have without money for a marketing campaign.
Therefore, application should be optimized in the following order:
    1. Application name in google play. This name may be different from the name displayed on the desktop device. The application name contains 30 characters, they should contain the main application keywords.
    2. Description of the application must be clear and also contain keywords.
    3. Attractive icons are very important.
    4. The application must be beautiful and functional. No need to buy a device for $ 300-500 and install an ugly app. People want a beautiful application.
    5. Publication of forums mentioned above.
