I now have the latest 4.3 ...but it's not rooted..I flashed the Jellybean superuser.zip with no hope ...could you please help...I want to restore my TB apps...I really want my device to be rooted........thnx

I lost root access on my Captivate when I switched from 4.2.2 I believe it was the last stable version of jelly bean to 4.3 Jelly Bean. I started off using different beta's on 4.3 for SlimBean rom prior to the stable official release that was just recently created. In the process I had discovered that I had lost root access.

Anyway I discovered it was just disabled by default I believe or something like that it seems. Here's how you can re-enable it again.

Go into Settings<About Phone

Scroll down to Build number tap on it 7 times and it'll enable developer options. In the Settings menu under the SYSTEM section you should now have a section labeled Developer options.

Go into Developer options then go into the menu Root access within it and select apps and adb. You should now have root access.

Developers options> root> select apps and adb. You should have root access which you can verify with root checker among other app programs.

Special thanks to BTRL30NTM for pointing this out on Helly Bean forums. I think had read about it in some change logs or someplace prior before, but completely forgot about it or how it was done.
