How to replace stock apps

I want to replace CM10 clock with one from CM10.1. I have the .apk, and it works when I install it (replaces the CM10's app), but when I reboot the phone it goes back to CM10 clock.

How to permanently install it?

Root !

Firstly root your device if it is not rooted :angel:

If you are rooted ,use any root browser (I recommended Root Explorer) & Copy/Replace Clock.apk in system/app with old one (Note : you have to delete the stock clock.apk)

Can I do it for the camera as well?
