I always used SuperSU. This VENOM VIPER DHD ROM is installed with SuperUser. While these two programs are exactly the same but ... childish caprice: I want SuperSU!
Never mind, I installed SuperSU but how to uninstall SuperUser? An idea?

I just flash SuperSU from the zip in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053. It removes SuperUser automatically.

However, if you do it manually:
1. Install SuperSU from Play Store.
2. Open SuperSU and grant it SuperUser permissions (important; if you delete SuperUser before you grant rights to SuperSU you lose your root and need to either reflash the ROM or flash the zip I linked above).
3. Delete SuperUser from /system/app with a root file manager.

After VIPER rom installation, superuser was installed automatically.
And after automatic reinstalling application by google, i found with this two applications installed.
So, it maybe because i have not installed supersu manually...

I am using the ViperDHD ROM (btw, it's a awsome ROM) too. Just curious, why do you insist in using SuperSU? I have tried both Superuser and SuperSU, I can't finger out what's the difference on daily using...

I have had some problems with JellyBean and SuperUser. For example, it wouldn't save my settings that automatically gave certain apps su rights, so I had to keep granting rights through the pop up.

Does the SuperUser app you're talking about have the standard Android pirate icon or a black and white hash tag? Team Venom has its own superuser app so I guess its named VenomSuperuser.apk or something like that in /system/app. The SuperSU flashable zip deletes SuperUser.apk if it is there but doesn't delete this because it has a different filename. I don't know if the ViperDHD has the Venom superuser app or the normal one, but that's how it is in ViperX for the One X. First flash SuperSU zip, open the app and update su binary, then to go /system/app and manually delete VenomSuperuser.apk or whatever its called. Then you'll have SuperSU properly installed. Another way is to delete the Venom apk in the ViperDHD ROM zip and put in SuperSU and the su binary in respective folders. But I suggest using the custom Venom app (if it is there) because it works just fine and is easier than doing this for every ROM update (out of experience on the One X).

If you have deleted the superuser before installing supersu (like I did on viperx!) you should flash it from cwm and it should be fine. It will not work if you just download it from the store.

Download SuperSU from Play Store, in the app go to settings, click Switch superuser app. Once finished, both apps will have gone, then just redownload SuperSU.

This is what I have to do every-time I flash a new CM10.1 nightly.

Thanks, i also looking for it
This is how I replaced SuperUser with SuperSU.

1) Use Root Explorer and delete SuperUser.Apk from the /system/app folder.

2) Go to the Android Market and download and install Super User.

3) Use Root Explorer again and delete SU from /system/bin.

4) Go to the Market and uninstall Super User.

5) Go to the Market and install SuperSU (and Pro Key to support the developer).

Thank you. It is not a Desire HD, but, on a generic tablet, I followed the manual method, and now I have SuperSU running, but it is in /data/app. Before, Superuser was in /system/app. I would like to put SuperSU in /system/app. Can I just move it? I am afraid that something bad will happen, if I try to move it.
