az wow! downloade the 1.1.6 and clicked install but it is not 1.1.6 its 1.2.2 1915 in the install? so what do I do?
If you d/l the file from my link and when opening got 1.2, Kingo is forwarding all old versions to 1.2.

Try vroot if kingo won't play nice. I've not used it, but many users have no issues at all with it. Just be sure to flash chainfire's latest superSU aftef getting root to overwrite the vroot superuser

az....been reading so many post the last few days..was reading on a post about this flash that had the modem for the nc4 and the firmware and some other files installed inside of it and all one need to do was to flash that rom. I know i'm probably not saying it correctly but it is a all in one flash.

It was for the KK upgrade that everyone is trying to install, Are you familiar with that one at all, it was here on xda ?

Once you are running NC2 KK 4.4.2 you can flash the NC4 modem/bootloop fix in Odin. So far, the results posted by users have been 50-50. Some say they get increased service, some say they notice no increase at all.

Here's a thread: [N900V] [KitKat] [NC2 Firmware/Bootloader] [NC4 Modem/Recovery] [Boot Loop Fix]

While I am a crack flasher at heart, I am not willing to mess with the goodness that Beanstown106 has provided us in NC2 Leak.

If users start flocking in saying they see noticeable increases in their reception/coverage/service/speeds/etc... then I may take that plunge. OR when a few of the heavy hitter Devs say "try this I see promise in it" then I will partake :D

Call me what you will, say I shouldn't be rooting and flashing cust roms if I am too scared to install NC4 modems, it's fine. I'll wait and apply a little "If it ain't broke don't fix it" reason to my practices :D IF someone has terrible results with the NC2 modem, give NC4 modem a shot. I'm good :D

I'm with you..totally agree, my father always told me if it works ..don't fix it. It was just a thought, you summed it up with ease.

I'm trying to make sure i cross all the T's and dot all the I's, now I will go ahead and
get busy with my upgrade..

Thanks again

az...

Just may end up installing some or do I have to install all all this to get the modem.

Didn't mention the fact that I live in a very unfriendly area like in the woods where Verizon is the only service that works out here. So I definitely need the radio that works best... gonna play with it a bit more to see if after a few reboots my 4g status will reappear.

For the most part I'm only getting 3g after the 4.4.2 upgrade whereas before, almost all the time I had 4g with 4.3. We will keep our fingers crossed. .. thanks so much for all of your help. ...

Jury is still out on NC4 modems being better. I think I'll wait a little longer...

Just wanted to say thanks for the guide and downloads. Only had Note 3 for a couple days, but used this guide to root and SafeStrap using kingo. Was concerned with all the people reporting kingo not working on anything but XP, but not issues on win 8.1 x64. Worked first time. Now running the NC4 ROM with nc2 FW + nc4 Radios, no issues there either.

Thanks Again.

My gut says NO. Only because SS 3.72 is built for NC2 and I know the firmware for NC4 is different in at least the boot loader is incremented.
