NC2 leak is actually better than NC4. Beans recommended sticking with NC2 as some exploits included in NC2 leak are not included in NC4, and won't likely be released in the future.

There is NC4 modem/boot loop fix that is flashed in Odin after updating to NC2 leak (it's not the full NC4 firmware) . Many are seeing better reception /signal. Some report no difference.

OK. So from my current state, I need to flash kingo via Odin then what. I have safestrap 1.65 already installed and running. I ended up using that new one click root that came out. Towelroot I think it's called.

Yep...It worked perfect for me, thanks az...I'm all rooted and back on Baja. Had to replace my Note 3 because it was in my back pocket and I ended up cracking the digitizer.

Just a heads up that towelroot works fine on 4.3 as well, I used it this morning after going back to MJE to clean out my phone.

Follow instructions near bottom of OP. Let me know how it goes. I have not used them but several users have confirmed this works fine.

This makes me sad

KitKat has been a joke on my Note 3, almost to the point that I would like to see if VZ will replace it with a JB Note 3.

I got this phone as a replacement for a defective unit (charge port failure) and as soon as I unboxed it, it downloaded the dreaded update, and naturally curious, I installed it.

Ever since i've experienced:
Wifi connection issues (I believe this may be related to the NC4 radio firmware?)
Major lag
Delay turning screen on
Lockups that cause me to have to pull the battery

Starting to get a little frustrating. I miss JellyBeans ROM :/

baja15 issue nc4 version

Hey guys I followed the procedure for the nc4 root and after I installed baja15 and rebooted into download mode from safestrap i got a message saying "do not power off downloading in progress" or something similar to that (i'm not on that screen right now). Can anyone please help me move forward from this point? Currently I can only boot into safestrap recovery when i power the device on and am unable to continue with normal boot (screen just goes black after 10 seconds). I'm really worried I've bricked my phone please help!!!

If it's doing its thing trying to download and boot up, it's gonna take longer than 10 seconds.

I left it all night (6-7 hours) at that download screen and when i woke up this morning and checked it was still on that same screen. I did not have the nc2.tar file from beans on my phone before I started, I can only assume that's my issue. Could it be that my baja15 didn't install correctly? I've rooted other phones successfully in the past, but right now I'm having a noob moment.

It's "softbricked." Easy to fix, go get the NC4 ROM image and reload it from Odin.

There's a thread here (sticky thread I believe) specifically on how to get your phone working.
