Sorry to bug you all again. Finally got the file downloaded and I get an error in odin. md5 error! Binary is invalid? what next. This is the second time I downloaded it.
Did you download it from the link I provided? I didn't get any errors from that link... IF so, that is odd... Let me look into it.Sorry to bug you all again. Finally got the file downloaded and I get an error in odin. md5 error! Binary is invalid? what next. This is the second time I downloaded it.

I will click thanks when I'm on the computer again!!:good:Did you download it from the link I provided? I didn't get any errors from that link... IF so, that is odd... Let me look into it.
Glad it all worked out for youThanks, guys! Almost there.
Figured out how to put the phone in Odin mode having first got Samsung USB drivers version 1.5.27.0 located and installed, how to run Odin 3.09, and I got the new MJE update
on to the phone.
Some white knuckles there for a bit.
Odin is a bit stark when it comes to hints, help, and when to connect the USB cable to the phone.
Turns out that Odin wanted the MJE file unzipped first, (even though the checksum provided to check the download's md5 was for the zipped file), so I somehow thought Odin would be happy with that. (Some android programs seem to think that zip packed file versions are just fine to use with them, seems that safestrap works fine with a zipped file from what I have seen, but let me know if that is wrong. Not there yet.)
And I had to find my copy of the 7-zip program ... while the phone was sitting there all the while with this HUGE warning not to turn it off. AARGH!
Next time I will run Odin first and have it ready to go before I get the phone into Odin mode.
But it got there.
Rooted again with Kingo, it worked fine. And Titanium Backup is now perfectly happy with the root situation on the MJE.
Will get Safestrap back up. Beans ... maybe tomorrow. I will reread all the key postings very carefully first.
They expect me do keep on doing work at the office. Slowing me down.
Thanks again!
It took me about 40 minutes for Kingo to recognized my phone, it kept on saying "installing drivers", I was also frustrated but I decided it to wait and finally I got it going...so I can only suggest you to be patient and try again..If you just recently installed the drivers it would be a good idea to re-start your computer and then open Kingo to retry the process again, just my 2 cents.:good:So I have been trying to get Kingo to connect to my phone. I have the latest drivers, I have it set to USB debugging mode. My computer recognizes the phone in Windows explorer but Kingo doesn't connect. I did try different cables and have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers a few times. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks...

And It still doesn't connect.....grrrrOk....I will let it chug on. Thanks.
I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else using Kingo. Try uninstalling all samsung apps from pc via control panel, then reboot and install latest sammie udb drivers. .. Maybe you have conflicting/corrupt sammie drivers...And It still doesn't connect.....grrrr
Never seen this before now. You can boot into odin mode and check knox...Just wondering about this warning I received from the Verizon Support and Protection app after rooting the phone with Kingo...does it mean that I triggered Knox? or it is something else? I haven't install SafeStrap or anything else on the phone just yet, any info will be greatly appreciate it, thanks.:good:

People can have their doubts about Kingo, but I can not recall ONE person reporting that Kingo tripped knox... I'm glad you can breathe easy nowKnox isn't triggered, good Lord!
I tried a different computer and connected with the USB 3.0 and it worked like a charm. My other laptop must have issues.....!!! LolI will try from scratch again, and let you know. Thanks.
SWEET! I forgot the mention switching the USB port and rebooting the pc... Glad you got it resolved. Now go enjoy your Note 3~I tried a different computer and connected with the USB 3.0 and it worked like a charm. My other laptop must have issues.....!!! Lol
You can use either. I'm still running 3.70 ...Great information here. I do have a question about SS though. The guide says to use 3.70 but then also specifies the latest version too. 3.71 is available. Which should I use?
