There is a pre rooted and xposed enabled ROM available at the Mi-Forums. I have to register and reply to the threat to get the download link.

If you know where to find pre-rooted roms, then you know that there is no way to root stable rom. (Root_Xiaomi_Redmi3.apk doesnt seem to work, at least not for me)
Can you share the link for Redmi 3 DEV 6.24.2 rom ?

Flash 7.1.2.0 Xiaomi EU stable version. You will have Gapps, no chinese apps, easily to root with Kingroot ( the replace with SuperSU by terminal )

Thanks. Flash in download mode or fastboot? I suppose download because of locked bootloader.

I followed this tutorial and it works for me... I was at 7.1.3 and flash this rom and i was able to root.
