For everybody who had trouble boring into recovery, once you have root install an app that allows you to reboot to recovery. (Or use the option in Xposed manager if you use Xposed) If you use exposed there is a module in play store, xEMUI, which can add the option to the reboot menu.
You'll still get the"your decide is unlocked..." Message, but after that instead of booting to system as the message says it will boot to recovery.
For me this or ADB, is the only way to get into TWRP on my MYA-L22.

That's true, unless I'd previously given command from adb to boot into recovery. I've never had problems rooting any of my previous devices, but I'm puzzled by this one. I wanted to try to flash recovery from sp, but I'm having trouble with vcom drivers. SP doesn't even register the device.
I had initial problems with the tool too, but I'm on linux! All the same might be worth a try...
1. disconnect usb cable from pc
2. turn off phone
3. open flashtool and set up for flashing on pc
4. press and hold vol down button on phone and plug in usb cable to pc
5. release vol button when red line appears on spflashtool.
Thats how it worked for me.
This might sound strange, but it worked for the nonresponsive TWRP. Immediately after the twrp splash/welcome screen appears, tap the screen. After that, it should work fine. Flashed magisk, and finally, rooted. Found the solution in 4pda.ru

I tried the Russian ones, but one didn't even start up and the other started but then got loads of problems. Tried the supplies patches but nearly bricked my phone.

when i oppend twrp first time it was working but i didnt understand anythink and closed it ,then i found out how to change the language when i came to twrp the touch screen was hardly working and the twrp was not responding.Hope you can help thank you.
the url you posted to unlock the bootloader takes me to the main login page of huawei and thats it.. i spent over one hour in the huawei website to figure out how to unlock it... but there is no option
