Hello all.

I will probably release ClockworkMod recovery and an insecure kernel for the GT-I9195 this weekend. With those installed, root can easily be achieved by using the built in root function in recovery.
Welcome to the house, sir!

For those of you with an S4 mini who don't know @arco68, he's coming here from the Galaxy W forum. Samsung left the W behind at GB. Arco68 supplied CWM and created and maintained CM9, CM10 and CM10.1 for the W. His work (in my experience) is OUTSTANDING, and everybody who still owns a W (myself included) are forever grateful for the work that he produced. I can see great things ahead for the S4 mini if arco is cooking ROMs for it.....watch this space... :)

Sounds good. Counting days and hours.

I don't know why S4 Mini doesn't get the same attention as S4, the only difference for a user is the size, thats why I bought the Mini and not the regular S4. That shouldn't mean that S4 Mini is a bad or very cheap phone. it is not cheap/bad. In fact it's the best phone I've yet owned, And I have owned many many phone within last 10 years.

Totally agree.....my guess is that because it is one of the newest phones on the market, not that many people have actually got their hands on it yet.....and only a very few of these owners have the ability to tear down the OS and modify it....
Give this phone a bit of time; and it'll start to make it's mark.....

Guys....give arco some time.....he's not going to release it for use on your devices until he's happy that it's running without issue on his device. Making mods for new devices requires (sometimes) lengthy testing.....just be patient....he'll release it when he's happy with it.....

Motochopper confirmed not working ;o) fails to install the binary... theird step failure.
Leaves normal working phone but with superuser loading and giving error that it cant load binaries at boot.
Other than that no problems.

Did reflash it with stock rom to remove that nag at boot.

So patiently waiting now with high expectations ;o))

Also a Galaxy W user myself and intentionally waiting for the s4 mini due to pocket size.

Guys, I read an article about an s4 mini. And in that article, it says that s4 mini doesn't have LED notification light. Is it true?:what: Can someone confirm this? Thanks:D

No, the S4 mini does not have a LED notification light. However you can use some apps that give you instant on-screen notification of new events (missed calls, sms, email etc), such as NoLED.
