how to root lenovo vibe k5 note ?

I have a patched boot.img file created through magisk manager

But the prblm is i can't test it in near future..

so i was wondering if anyone can flash this boot img for me and share the result
(NOTE : falsh it only if you have experience in flashing boot img using sp tool)
And if u know how to reflash the firmware if things go wrong
do backup the nvram.bin

I did it myself but the boot stops at image verification check.!

Anybody out there who can root this device. Its been a long time this device (vibe k5) is being neglected by the developer's. Low-end device's also have root but this not??.

It is sad, that no work is done yet. I almost lost my device in flashing back my device. So I know people know the risk and avoid unnecessary risk. But still hope someday it happens.

Well I guess all you want to root your K5 note... I have downgraded my K5 note and then used king root.. and now m using rooted mobile.. but yup one thing king root gives you king user app. That is not good enough so simply download supersu APk and install .Then update binary as normal .. and you will get proper root access..Normally I have rooted just for x mod APk.

You will have to do a lot of reading. Each thread and the forum also, has a search window for related links. Its very informational and saves time.
Downgrading can be done by using SP flash tool for flashing Lollipop rom for vibe k5 note. Youll get the links in this and other threads.

I'd say keep away from that file, as it is an experimental boot.img to be flashed from SP flash tool. If things go wrong, it's not easy to boot up Vibe K5 note again.

Ok, why to use boot.img in this case? i have used SP FT for Xolo Q1000.

It's one step in rooting/ unlocking the phone(flashing patched boot.img). But flashing rom again through Sp tool does not always guarantee successful booting as in this case. It's a headache which is avoidable.

Actually it's a function official in nougat and "in testing" in marshmallow

There are a lot of root tutorials on google. You just have to search. Try this for instance

I think it can be rooted with kingroot app because I saw that on many tutorials for k5. Just be careful while rooting.

Actually I got modified twrp from a website and I tried to flash it with sp flash tool.
It showed an error as DL image failed and it doesn't boot up.
I further flashed the stock recovery but showed the same error and it hard bricked.
I had warranty so that my phone was flashed with a new stock ROM.
So it is my opinion never try to root this phone.

Thats simple. Flash lollipop stock ROM. Root using kingoroot. Install super su. Uninstall kinguser app.
Install flashfire. Flashed xposed installer zip using flashfire. Install the xposed apk. That's it

Did you update back to mm after rooting in lollipop? If yes, did you still have root access?
