Ok, I have the custom TWRP, here https://mega.nz/#!ohlSRZaJ!UhC6Hou8vWcUOUkeFwots44LK8QN1PG0HR8VQPocpoQ
But bootloader is still locked. Has anyone managed to unlock the bootloader on marshmallow ??
I tried the "adb reboot bootloader" command, it reboots the phone, and there's a black screen with "fastboot mode" written in veeeeery small letters at the bottom left corner of the screen, and "fastboot devices" command does not show any device connected. (Does recognize with "adb devices" in adb mode). So there's no question of trying the "fastboot oem unlock" or the "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" commands, first I need to get my computer detect the device in fastboot mode.
Any help please ?

Download and install minimal adb and fastboot drivers and try again.

Ok, i made windows recheck drivers and downloaded new ones, rebooted to bootloader, this time my PC recognised the phone in fastboot mode, but on giving the "fastboot oem unlock" command, it said
"unsupportive project for unlock
FAILED (remote : unknown reason)"

On the phone it said "unlock not allowed"

I've seen other people here report this problem here too.
Needless to say, I had oem unlocking and usb debugging both toggled on in developer settings.

Dont know what else to do, anyone able to move beyond this point ?

Thanks mate, I'll inform you if it works as soon as I'm able to unlock the bootloader and flash the recovery

Yeah bro
Yes. You can flash recovery in SP flash tool by checking only recovery.
But you need scatter file of your android to flash in SP tool.
Ok, I read about the methods, got mtk droid tools to generate the scatter file, it is recognising my device(but not reading uboot build v and lcd driver ic, says should be root shell; also does not read both the IMEIs) but when i click on blocks map, it is unable to read and the "Generate scatter file" button is grayed out, not clickable

Well I guess all you want to root your K5 note... I have downgraded my K5 note and then used king root.. and now m using rooted mobile.. but yup one thing king root gives you king user app. That is not good enough so simply download supersu APk and install .Then update binary as normal .. and you will get proper root access..Normally I have rooted just for x mod APk.
