how to root lenovo vibe k5 note ?

since all rooting attempts failed our only hope is unlocking the bootloader to flash a new rom even if it is of a low probability. i've been searching everywhere for a solution to bypass oem keys for the past two weeks and came up empty handed, my bootloader doesn't even respond to any kind of commands ( the " remote: uknown command" error).
And to show you all how good the Lenovo customer service is, i posted on Lenovo forums asking for a way to get the oem unlock keys and the moderator answered me with a link to the Lenovo smart assistant pc software that's it. It's like going to the mechanic to ask for advice to fix your car engine and the mechanic just shows you how to open the car door.

Unpack system.img there u will find user keys ..
But it is in raw Format i.e we can't use them directly

Thread of light has been eXposed ?

Yesterday, I tried to root my K5 Note device with MTK Easy Root but it was temporary. Root is lost after RESTART.

Surprise:

• This is about "xposed", but "NOT ROOT"
• I tried this Triad and this was successful :laugh:

I'm not responsible for device damage, bootloops, erased data,.... etc. So backup your data if you need.

• Download this triad:
1) MTK Easy Root: Download
2) Magisk: Visit Magisk Page after searching in Google and download it
3) Xposed for Marshmallow: Download

• Install the 3 apps then:
1) Launch the MTK Easy Root then tap root button
2) Run Magisk AND NEVER UPDATE THE MODULE OR FRAMEWORK
3) Run xposed and install the framework then reboot

• N.B. 1 → First boot will take longer time due to "Optimizing Apps", so don't worry.
• N.B. 2 → If you faced a bootloop, go to recovery and clear data (Recovery = Vol+ , Vol- , Power button all in same time for 7-10 seconds).

And I say again I'm not responsible for any damages, take a backup for your files.
IF YOU DO IT SUCCESSFULLY, FILES WON'T BE ERASED.
And I hope in the near future that our bootloader is unlocked and we can flash custom roms. :angel:

Would like someone to confirm it by trying. Of course , he mentions it as a temporary root. But I think you can't flash custom recoveries like TWRP,etc, as a locked bootloader won't allow it.

Thanks buddy. It looks like a good effort, and if working will surely help. As the bootloader has not yet been unlocked, atleast rooting may help somehow.

Yes, Rooting will help in Overclocking and do other stuff such as Xposed Framework and all wo if anyone who wants to play games by oberclocking then they can use this method..
