I get error: device not found.... from the begining
You don't have the Motorola Drivers installed, so the computer doesn't recognize the ADB interface.

my fw is 6.363."1" <--- i think motorola is trying things again
anyways, cant root this by any mean.
Where exactly did you see that firmware version? Can you confirm your bootloader version (to enter bootloader press volume up + power button when turning on). Mine is 9.10 I believe

Are you saying that if my defy is unlocked it will be easier to root??

Locked to network operator has nothing to do with it. But maybe it was locked in firmware in recent version so it is more difficult to ROOT, I've not figured out yet what exactly.

Hey Pedroh, i saw that fw version on Config>About>JORLA_U3_6.36.1
Boot loadert is 09.10.
This is a brazilian defy from TIM SP.
Thanks ;)

PS: The Device not found happens for me after step 4, so im using the right driver since i can connect to adb to push the superuser.apk and the other files, after it attempts to use the exploit is when things go weird. Im pretty sure files changed name/path and thats wy the phone stays in a endless loop.

Help

I am trying to do this on my Moto Defy+ (MB526)
I get to this step
- cd data/local/tmp
- chmod 0755 rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin
- ./rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin

- Let the process run until the prompt returns you to C:/Droid2Root

Then when i get to

- adb devices (to verify the connection)
- adb shell (you should now have a # prompt)
it says devidce is ofline

C:\Droid2Root>adb devices
List of devices attached
0A3*********** offline

C:\Droid2Root>adb shell
error: device offline

C:\Droid2Root>
