Im honestly not the best at all this. I used to root with my OG Droid but stepped away for awhile.
I rooted my Note 3 when I got it and I tripped the Knox. If I do this method it will reset it to 0x0?

If you ask any question please explain what it is you are asking for so I know where to look
Im assuming the whole NF9 and all that is referring to the baseband?
My baseband is N900TUVUCNB4
My Model is SM-N900T

With this information I gave you, am I able to follow you guide step by step and be ok?

Reason I'm doing this is ... I cracked my screen but I am fed up with the whole "Your Wifi Connection is unstable"
I'm hoping to get a replacement but I have a 0x1, and I also have a cracked screen so I hope this will work.

I know I read the unstable wifi is a known issue, anyone know if its been fixed?
Nothing will reset knox to 0x0 on the N900T (t-mobile note 3). This is to root it while keeping knox 0x0.

Also, insurance will not care that your knox is tripped 0x1 if you're getting a replacement.

Wifi has been fine for a while. Uncheck smart network switch from within the Wi-Fi settings screen.

If you want to update to NF9, follow my other guide.

Thank you for the very quick response.
I'm sorry to be a Noob but what "other guide" are you referring to?
Also, giving you all my info I will be ok to follow your guide step by step?

Yes, you'll be fine following the steps.

If you'd like to root and install a custom recovery, do all the steps. If not, just do the updating to NF9 part (steps 1-8).

Yes, if you want root, just continue with the rooting part. If not, uninstall supersu as root is gone.
Really appreciate all your help.
Originally I just rooted because I wanted to remove all the bloatware. I know you're a busy man but you got any tips on what you should get after rooting. Im not new to rooting, just been some years. I never rooted on Samsung before either. Having a young kid I don't have the time to research like I used to. Also, it seems like everything I find on the Note 3 ends up being old and can end up being a mess

Root and install a custom recovery and then flash my ROM (download and copy my rom to your sd card so you can fladh it in TWRP recovery).

It's called EffortLess ROM REV 8. Then install xposed framework... there's more on that in my ROM thread. I feel you on the kid. I have an almost 2 year old and a 8 month old and they're a handful.

Hey man,

Im trying to root and install your ROM. When I'm putting the ROM on the Root of my SD Card card I start getting
"Your device might not be able to play or view this file"
Its on a few but the first one I get is for "customer.xml"
My options are to "No, Skip this file" or "Yes, your file will copy but you may not be able to play or view this file"
I'm assuming I hit "Yes" but I'd rather make sure

Copy the entire zip, don't unzip.

Got it, thanks man. I am on NF9, rooted, got your REV8 ROM and got the Xposed Framework.
Not quite sure what Im supposed to do with the Xposed Framework haha, but I'm gonna research it.
Also, just wanted to ask to make sure ... I downloaded the REV8 from your link but I noticed when I go into "About Phone"
it says Hardware version "REV0.6", that right?

Hardware revision is your physical phone hardware. It won't change. You're all set. Read further down in my EffortLess ROM thread to see how to use xposed.

For example, download wanam xposed from the playstore and enable it within xposed so you can start tweaking some stuff.

Thanks so much man, I really appreciate it. Normally can't get this much help. You really made this easy.
I'll definitely be donating on pay day.

Good luck with those little ones. My little girl is turning 2 this weekend and we will be announcing my wife is pregnant with our second

No problem, I'm glad I was able to help! Thanks, and happy birthday to your little girl and congrats on your second!! The second learns so fast because they imitate the first, it's awesome watching them interact.

quick question

i am on stock nf9. originally on rooted nf4. is it possible to fully downgrade to nf4 using odin without tripping knox? my phone had been running really hot since nf9. i was going to root but since I'm getting a note 4 in three weeks i just wanted to go back to stock nf4 in the hopes the overheating issue would go away for the next three weeks. thanks.
