So, because I'm lazy, I'm tempted to restore images in magisk and flash this and then flash magisk again like in the good old days. Has anyone been doing this? Or should I get over myself and break out a laptop like I should have done a week ago?

Hey @g33gz. I just sat down to update to F.64 and boot your patched image. After completely uninstalling magisk, i was able to take the F.64 OTA. I am, however, unable to boot your patched Image. Ive tried to redownload it and triple checked. Possible I could hassle you to re-up another, please?
Have you flashed it to both a and b slots? I've noticed that if I dont do this with either the patched and unpatched boot.img , it doesnt work for some reason....Hey @g33gz. so I have the fear and usually boot your patched images and then use magisk to patch my own. I guess ill try to flash the patched image to both slots but im scared.Have you flashed it to both a and b slots? **I meant to say patched OR unpatched image so if you're wanting to flash the patched one, you gotta do it on both slotsso I have the fear and usually boot your patched images and then use magisk to patch my own. I guess ill try to flash the patched image to both slots but im scared.
As usual, thanks for posting this. Has anyone had luck installing this? I have uninstalled magisk completely and after a reboot was prompted that a system update (IN2025_13.1.0.513(EX01)) was available. Its failing to install for me. I also tried to use oxygen updater to download the update and used a build of the system update apk to force update the install from the local file. No luck. Anyone else?Just saw that theres a new update IN2025_13.1.0.513(EX01)
I've attached the untouched boot.img and magisk patched ones
Yeah no issues on my end though I did the same routine of uninstalling magisk -> applying the default boot image to both a/b slots -> upgradeAs usual, thanks for posting this. You manually flash the stock boot images back to a+b slots after uninstalling magisk?Yeah no issues on my end though I did the same routine of uninstalling magisk -> applying the default boot image to both a/b slots -> upgrade
Yup... I had an issue previously where the update wouldnt go through unless I did that (or maybe it was that the device wouldnt boot properly or something.... I posted about it earlier in this thread). You manually flash the stock boot images back to a+b slots after uninstalling magisk?
Noted. I'll bet that will do the trick. ThanksYup... I had an issue previously where the update wouldnt go through unless I did that (or maybe it was that the device wouldnt boot properly or something.... I posted about it earlier in this thread).
Ever since the issue I had, I've just been doing that to update and it goes fine. It might not be required anymore but I just never stopped![]()

Thanks for this. Manually flashing the stock images in fastboot allowed me to install the update. I'm updated and rooted now. Good to go. ThanksI don't, but I guess I probably don't have a patched image on both A and B.
When I install I do "fastboot boot patched_boot.img" and then I directly install magisk again from inside the app. This is supposed to be safer than flashing from inside of fastboot (and I think It's required for newer phones with different partition structures).
So my basic steps are:
0. Pre-patch your new clean boot.img inside of magisk, and save the patched file on your PC. You can use someone elses patched boot.img only if they are using the same version of magisk you are.
1. Restore images inside of magisk (you don't need to fully remove magisk)
2. Reboot
3. Turn on automatic updates in developer options (not sure if needed) and then run the update.
4. Reboot, let update complete, shut off automatic updates, then shut down.
5. Boot into fastboot, then boot (do not flash) your patched image.
6. From inside of magisk select direct install.
I've jumped ship to a Motorola Edge + 2023. Nice phone for the money. Underrated if I may say so myself. If you don't need esim (or dual sim) and are stateside, you can buy this phone from Boost mobile for $400, buy a $10 unlock code on eBay and flash it to stock retail. Pretty incredible value. Thanks for the support everyone.both stock and magisk patched boot.img for IN2025_13.1.0.582(EX01) are attached
Thanks, it worked great.both stock and magisk patched boot.img for IN2025_13.1.0.582(EX01) are attached
This is not as easy as you might think. The default payload dumper (and the Go version) cannot handle these incremental OTAs:No.
Simply download the Prebuild binaries from here.

Use payload dumper to extract the boot image and copy it to yout device
Install Magisk apk on your device (does not matter if it has root or not)
patch the boot image, copy the patched image to your pc and you have a patched boot image for C.20.
Ah okay, thank you! Do you know how long it usually takes for an OTA file to come out? Or, if you could, help me through going back to OOS11, rooting it, and then updating to OOS12 and keeping root?![]()
You have to completely uninstall Magisk... it's a pain in the butt to update now because you'll need your PC to flash the modified boot.imgAnyone else have issues updating to C21? Every time I try manually updating using the system update app it gets to 32% and fails. I turned off all magisk modules and restored image within magisk first.
