Hey @g33gz. I just sat down to update to F.64 and boot your patched image. After completely uninstalling magisk, i was able to take the F.64 OTA. I am, however, unable to boot your patched Image. Ive tried to redownload it and triple checked. Possible I could hassle you to re-up another, please?
Have you flashed it to both a and b slots? I've noticed that if I dont do this with either the patched and unpatched boot.img , it doesnt work for some reason....

so I have the fear and usually boot your patched images and then use magisk to patch my own. I guess ill try to flash the patched image to both slots but im scared.

EDIT: I mustered up the courage and flashed your patched image to both slots and im happy to say that im back in business. Thank you

**I meant to say patched OR unpatched image so if you're wanting to flash the patched one, you gotta do it on both slots

"but im scared."
Just make sure you backup your stuff and send it bud! lol

Hey guys, I wanted to thank those who have been able to make this possible. I have a quick question -
currently: IN2025_11_F.63

I want to root and flash a different rom.. do I need to downgrade and work my way up through the releases in the above mentioned method?
or can I just run F.63 then update to 64?

As usual, thanks for posting this. Has anyone had luck installing this? I have uninstalled magisk completely and after a reboot was prompted that a system update (IN2025_13.1.0.513(EX01)) was available. Its failing to install for me. I also tried to use oxygen updater to download the update and used a build of the system update apk to force update the install from the local file. No luck. Anyone else?

Yeah no issues on my end though I did the same routine of uninstalling magisk -> applying the default boot image to both a/b slots -> upgrade

You manually flash the stock boot images back to a+b slots after uninstalling magisk?
Yup... I had an issue previously where the update wouldnt go through unless I did that (or maybe it was that the device wouldnt boot properly or something.... I posted about it earlier in this thread).

Ever since the issue I had, I've just been doing that to update and it goes fine. It might not be required anymore but I just never stopped 🤷‍♂️

Noted. I'll bet that will do the trick. Thanks

I don't, but I guess I probably don't have a patched image on both A and B.

When I install I do "fastboot boot patched_boot.img" and then I directly install magisk again from inside the app. This is supposed to be safer than flashing from inside of fastboot (and I think It's required for newer phones with different partition structures).

So my basic steps are:

0. Pre-patch your new clean boot.img inside of magisk, and save the patched file on your PC. You can use someone elses patched boot.img only if they are using the same version of magisk you are.

1. Restore images inside of magisk (you don't need to fully remove magisk)
2. Reboot
3. Turn on automatic updates in developer options (not sure if needed) and then run the update.
4. Reboot, let update complete, shut off automatic updates, then shut down.
5. Boot into fastboot, then boot (do not flash) your patched image.
6. From inside of magisk select direct install.

Thanks for this. Manually flashing the stock images in fastboot allowed me to install the update. I'm updated and rooted now. Good to go. Thanks

@Swap_File , thank you so much for posting those files. I've been bricked and they saved my day. If you have a 'buy me a coffee' link or something let me know.
