How-To Root PX5 HU with Android 9.0!

I had a little time and scripted a few files to make it a little easier to root! :)

Step by Step:

1. Download and Install "Joying Extra Tools" apk to HU, run and click on the button "Enable/Disable adb over WiFi" and "Enable" it.

2. Reboot your HU!
You can do this in the Factory Settings with the Code "hctreboot".

3. After Successfull reboot, extract "SuperSU-PX5-Android_9.0-ARM64.zip" to Desktop and open the folder.

NOTE: It could fail several times, just open the .bat again until everything has run through cleanly. As on the screenshots it should look then!

4. Open "1. Disable DM-Verity.bat" and enter your IP-Adress from your HU!
Wait for Finish and press Enter!

5. Open "2. Reboot.bat" and enter your IP-Adress from your HU!
Wait for Finish and press Enter!

6. After Reboot open "3. Rooting.bat" and enter IP-Adress from your HU!
Wait for Finish and press Enter!

7. Open "4. Reboot.bat" and enter your IP-Adress from your HU!
Wait for Finish and press Enter!

8. After Reboot you can see the SuperSU App with Full Root Access!
Warning: When the SuperSU App asking for updating the binary, click on Cancel. Otherwise the ROM could not boot anymore.

9. Open "Joying Extra Tools" and click on the button "Enable/Disable adb over WiFi" and "Disable" it.

10. Reboot your HU!

11. Done!

It got stuck in the script so I manually ran the commands - All good :)

When it's stuck, close the .bat file and open the .bat again :)

Here from OP:

NOTE: It could fail several times, just open the .bat again until everything has run through cleanly. As on the screenshots it should look then!

Hello,

Must I reboot the HU after every action?

Yes it's needed because deactivate DM-Verity and then rooting.

I got a new DASAITA MAX-6 head unit and I started to find a way to root it untill Malaysk or Hal9K come up with a custom rom, so in the beginning I rooted the stock DASAITA rom with the usual manual way and it was not possible to move, delete or modify system files or folders, but this rom doesn't support the split screen feature that I like. Reading trough the forums I came across with the latest MX rom that has the split screen feature working, so I installed it and I wanted to have on it a few of those blueish DASAITA looking apps, so I started playing a little with the way to modify those system files. After countless hours of trying, I had success, maybe it's not the best way to do it but it works, I am just a regular guy, I'm not a developer or something like that.
OK. I also rooted the MX rom using jamal's script, once rooted I manually remounted the system folder or partition one more time.
adb connect "your device ip address"
    adb root
adb connect "your device ip address"
    adb remount
Opend up Root Explorer and scrolled down to the system folder, highlited it to change permissions which tells me if I want to remount as read and write, clicked on the OK button, then the box with the changing permissions appears and clicked OK.
Now you are free to delete, copy, move system files. If you turn off the head unit, you are going to reapet the mentioned process again to get access to modify, (if it fails while trying, do it again) "I just wanted to share this with you all:D" .

Too bad, since i cant get Viper4Android and Adaway to work with SuperSu :(

I will try a rooting method with Magisk with patched boot.img!
I'm busy in the next 4 days!

    Use Blockada instead of Adaway!
