Post successful root (kingo), recovery (flashify) without tripping knox warranty?

After searching many threads and successfully rooting via kingo and flashing twrp via flashify without tripping knox warranty counter will flashing a rom normally in twrp trip the warranty counter (I don't care about the other custom counters) or am I in the clear? I am aware that the custom flag and the # of installed counters will flip. Thanks in advance!

Has the issues of the kingo root method been solved to XDA level of trust and satisfaction?

this is something I was also curious about. several kingo threads shut down "until further notice and investigation" several months ago?
i was under the impression that once I install a custom recovery it'll trip knox anyway? the only reason I would be interested in this at all was, if what the gentleman posted previous is true, being able to root and twrp w/o tripping iknox, well that would be a neat trick...

update to flashing files after recover through flashify

I wanted to update: after flashing a mod through the recovery that I had flashed through flashify, knox warranty was set to 0x1. At least I can get busy flashing now.

I'm thinking of moving over to Sprint (N3) from VZW (S4 MDK) and want to know a couple things If I could. First, is MJ4 the current firmware? So if I'm getting a new Note 3 from sprint I can get Root and install TWRP? This works on the latest Firmware? Second, I saw post that someone mentioned they wished they could get ASOP. Well, isn't the point of a custom recovery like TWRP is so you can install ASOP or other non TW kernel ROMs?

I'm asking this as I'm coming from a VZW S4 that VZW and Samsung locked down tighter then hell. (I'm still on the MDK, the original FW) I just want to make sure this phone is all good to get custom recovery on it.

Thanks

Yes, Gunthermic had quite the nightmare with that crap. Not on this network.

Although I'm long past needing this kinda vid, big props to qbking for continuing to make these. Imho, if you can't root after watching this, you don't deserve a smartphone. There is literally everything you need right here, no confusing techie terms, links to everything...
You'd think QB gets paid to do this stuff with how thorough and concise instructions he gives.
Been following your stuff since the E4GT, QB. Never let me down.

That sucks bro. Sorry to hear your experience. I don't blame ya one bit.

I would add that the tools we have here are quite good.

Thanks to all who have given their input in this forum but I'm new to rooting devices and after reading through am still unsure about the best way to root. Could someone clarify please.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on whether you want to trip Knox. If you care about that, then use the root method or methods that avoid it. If you want custom recovery, then you will trip Knox and can use the Chainfire method. It's that straightforward.

Root first then recovery if you choose to trip Knox.
