0) Make a nandroid backup (optional)
1) Dirty flash your current rom
2) Flash Magisk v12 from here
3) Reboot
4) Delete SuperSU app, download Magisk Manager from the Play Store
5) In Magisk Manager's settings menu, enable Magisk Hide
6) Reboot

Magisk itself should not trip safetynet at this point, but other apps might.

I don't even reboot after enabling magisk hide and safety net passes right away.
Normally you don't have to reboot to pass SafetyNet after enabling Hide. There might be special circumstances where it's needed...

Watch out with magisk, I had an Asus Zenfone 2 and my phone got bricked and I wasn't able to use my nandroid backup.(just a warning ;) )
As already stated, OnePlus and Asus are not the same. Some Asus devices are known to be finicky when it comes to Magisk...
