is anyone still active? the method works, but doesn't give full root access, can't mount system to rw, which is crucial for most operations. Any solution to that?

KingoRoot of the frash version 1.5.1.3006 (PC version) successfully rooted D5103 with FW 18.1.A.225. I think It will root 232 and Android 5.x based builds.
However I should pay attention to the fact that all these chinese crap utils (incl KingO) full of 'nice' pics and 'modern GUI' definitely spy on you and install adware to your device.
They hide original simple rooting scripts, encrypt them in the package contents and/or download from the official update servers for temporary use.

It seems KingO Root installed:
KingoUser.apk to the /system/app - required app which you can replace with SuperSU later.
su binary to the /system/bin - seems to be excessive copy
.su binary to the /system/bin/.ext - seems to be excessive copy
su binary to the /system/sbin - excessive copy
su, supolicy, daemonsu and busybox binaries to the /system/xbin - most correct placement
The following apps are installed to the /data/app/
com.kingoapp.superbattery-1.apk (SuperBattery)
com.kingoapp.link-1.apk (Kingo Link)
com.kingoapp.root-1.apk (Kingo ROOT)
These apps could be freely deleted after device is rooted
There could be any other changes in the file system including exploitable patches and something similar but I didn't found any with a quick manual folder scan.
At the moment it seems you should install SuperSU, run it and ensure it works OK, then remove 3 apps above normal way, then delete kingouser.apk from /system/app/ manually (install and use some file manager like Root Explorer or Total Commander).

Anyone who have time plz reverse (seems to be non simple) KingoRoot/iRoot/KingRoot/etc bullsheet and pull off them rooting exploits to publish on XDA for th wide public education and avoid any adware execution on the user PC's .
