HOW To Root Zenfone3 MAX ZC520TL ????? .... please

Would anyone happen to have the scatter file for the MT6737M version of the Zenfone 3 Max? I believe mine is different as the firmware is on 13.1.x instead of 13.0.x.

Or can anyone point me to a guide on how to create my own scatter file and custom recovery? I tried the MTK droid tool and realized it doesn't detect this phone.

Dirtycow could be used to chage the memory location to allow unlocking the bootloader, but that would require fastboot to be functional which i have no way of knowing. This is all beyond me, but there is enough info with the WW and CN devices to be able to work out a Exploit for dirtycow on the us version(pending major differences in the firmware and bootloader) that if someone with some knowledge could perform a pixel8 type exploit.

I think the main problem we have is that there are different variations in hardware all under the "Zenfone 3" name depending on where they are located at on the globe and something developed for one doesn't work on another.
Being that this is a relatively new phone on the market, we only have a small number of units out there. Until it catches the eye of a developer with our version of hardware, we are kind of at a stand still.

Different versions of the same phone, china(cn) and the global versions of the phone are currently rootable, not so for the us version, its certainly a possibility, with the exploit i shared above its been used on other phones to great success, it all depends on wether we have a crippled fastboot, something that happens from time to time, or if it only functions when the bootloader is unlockable bit is checked? Dont ask me i can talk theoretical all day but i dont have the capability to do this exploit, someone else who has more experience might.

Unfortunately, the TWRP floating on the internet is for the MT6737T model of the Zenfone 3 Max. Which i believe is also the 2GB/16GB version of the 3 Max. There is none so far for the MT6737M (3GB/32GB) model.

I believe you may have the model versions backwards.

It kind of depends on the version of phone and software it has. If it is the US version, there is currently no way to root. If it is the WW version then there is a YouTube video from a guy in Vietnam that has managed to do it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2yKgvgftXk) but it is on the MT6737T hardware version.

I've offered a $50 bounty for someone to figure this out but no one has claimed it yet.

1) Download the USB driver VCOM MediaTek PRELOADER this link

Haha lol.
Well iv tried xposed too. And it work as well. I dont have any problem so far.
My modules i installed is
Xstana, dimension editor, N-fly and ofc. The assistant enabler.
Cool right.

Just make sure u pick the rught type of xposed.
