Great tutorial! A bit off topic, can you also make a tutorial on how to unlock bootloader? That's my problem as of now
The easiest and most effective way Thanks!
Hi mihahn, which of the two rooting method (flashtool or doommslord) do you prefer and advice to use, i wonder which of the two offers much easier way to root.
Both are very easy, but Doomlord's sometimes crashes with my phone, so I would use Flashtool
Hope the guide helps you!
another noob question sir, on the post of AryanAkanskh he did not mention to install "flashtool-drivers", but in your tutorial it is needed to install. how about that sir? don't know what to follow..
Install them to be sure your device will be recognized in flash mode (if you aren't on .42 or .58 firmware). Otherwise there's no need, but better install them to be on the safe side
:good: done doing steps two and one...

now how will i know if my phone is already rooted? i want to be sure before i update it again to .62 over the air.. appreciate your help...
DONE!!! there's a superuser icon so i have updated it again to .62 over the air. I was so afraid during the process because i have encountered errors while flashing my phone.. finally i have made it...
thank you so much sir for this great tutorial and i appreciate your swift response to my noob questions...
speaking of which, i just want to ask, i wanted to remove some of the bloatwares but there is no option to "uninstall" it in the manage applications tab. do i need an app to uninstall those bloatwares?
Yes you can uninstall it with for example titanium backup or uninstaller pro.
But don't remove necessary apps, just things like facebook and all it's other apps or the japanese keyboard. There are much more and here should be a list, which apps you can remove, if I find it I'll post the link
Edit: Found it here, but backup these apps using for example titanium backup and don't uninstall all, just apps, where you know you don't need them
you're really a big help sir,,, i really appreciate the time that you have given me.. thanks a lot..:highfive:

one more thing sir, is there any problem with my phone? in standby mode(screen is also off) there are often times that my phone is heating too much without using it, causing it to drain my battery too fast. i have experienced it before i flash and root but after rooting the problem still exist.
Do you have any idea on this case of mine?
su
dev=/sys/devices/platform/spi_qsd.0/spi0.0
fw=touch_smultron_sony.hex
cyttsp_fwloader -dev $dev -fw /system/etc/firmware/$fw -verify_only
sleep 5
reboot -p
Man this is all great but i m scare to do flash my xperia, i love it and i dont wanna see it as brick. tell me how much chance to being brick by this process?
Thanks for let me know the different between the device model, i will be careful. but one thing make me more scare is, as u mention that "dont disconnect the phone while its flashing" actually the country where i m leaving has an issue of electricity. sometime its gone without any notice so my question is, let suppose if my phone is in flashing and suddenly light is gone then what will happen? my phone will brick? if yes then can i revive it back or its remain in dead?
