Hmm odd. Can you get into download mode? You might can use ODIN to flash the Android 4.1.2 stock MD8 firmware tar file which will flash over anything you currently have.

I can flash any firmware. That's not a problem. It's just that after using max Lee's (old way) rooting method I will flash twrp 3.0, and it won't boot to recovery. It's obviously a kernel issue. Ugh. This kernel flashed with recovery is a pain. Lol.

OK. Got it partitioned! Tried installing a rom for i777 but recovery says that I have a gti900.. is it still OK to flash roms from i900 even though I have a sigh i777 device? Thanks.

You should still be able to flash i9100 roms with the jeebo kernel.

Only prob is a working recovery. Ugh. How about I stock JB, root, partition and then flash IsoRec...?

You can try that to see if it works. ODIN to stock jelly bean 4.1.2 ,then partition (if partition doesn't stick), then root using frama root app, then flash aj kernel or jeebo kernel which will give you a form of CWM recovery.
