Does the card being formatted as exfat have anything to do with CWM not recognizing the card? If so, that is the issue I'm guessing.

I can reformat if needed but rather get a confirmation so I don't need to take so long re-uploading my music library to the sdcard.
That's a damned good question. I left mine as is (fat32) and am not having the same issue.

Yup looks like that is the issue, just dusted off my old 8gb sdcard from my EVO which is formatted as fat32 and it backed up perfectly.

Problem solved!

CWMv3 allows user to select 'backup' or else 'backup to internal memory,' your choice......if you select 'backup' it stores your backup to the sd card: ie '1970-01-01.07.43.16,' a 1.25gb file stored in the sd card, works for me. ;)

Team Epic Blog: CWM Recovery for all SGS3 LTE variants
Downloads and instructions for CWM recovery to enable rooting and customization of all SGS3 LTE variants.

**Version 4 released, including the fix to properly exclude the internal sdcard (/data/media) from nandroid backups. You are now able to freely use the internal sdcard space without worrying about excessively large backup files. It is recommended that you create a new backup to ensure the best restore compatibility. Requesting confirmation from AT&T and T-Mobile users.

SGS3 Recovery - All variants the same?

Just asking before I do something stupid & wind up with a brick. I see on the ClockworkMod recovery site there's a recovery/touch recovery listed for the SGS3, it was released about 21 days ago, so before the Sprint version of the phone was released. My question is will it work on the Sprint version? Thanks in advance! :cowboy:
