Well I found an app that will allow you to share your phone's internet connection with your tablet via bluetooth. It doesn't require root either. And it isn't as slow as you may think it is than a wifi hotspot, but it mainly depends on if you have 3g or 4g and your coverage area and bluetooth version too. I tested it with 3g on android 4.1.2 (phone) and 4.4.2 (tablet) and it works fine. I found it as an alternative since android doesn't allow devices to connect to ad-hoc networks on stock android, therefore making you root and find a kernel that supports connecting to ad-hoc networks, and also if your phone doesn't have hotspot already enabled like mines. The con to this is that it doesn't allow you to use other apps to connect to the internet, but it has a few apps inside itself that uses the internet, like a browser and it allows you to share media between devices. The cool thing about it is that you can share the screen on your phone to your tablet or vice versa and view it there and browse around. I tried youtube, and it doesn't really work, but I guess its good if you want to lookup something on a bigger screen. The name of it is Screen Share (Search for it the play store) and there are two versions, one for your phone and one for your tablet. And all you do is go through the setup wizard on both devices and you're all set up! :good:
