How to unbrick a Galaxy?

I had a failed ROM transfer in Odin, now the phone only shows a turquoise error "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software" but in said software it doesn't show up. Odin does recognize and associates a virtual COM port but when trying to flash original firmware of a ROM from updato.com with matching model ID the transfer fails on DeviceInfo - does this mean I still don't have the correct firmware files? Where and how can I read out the DeviceInfo parameters?

Try to install TWRP from Odin, then boot into TWRP and install new rom from there. You can find on youtube videos on installing TWRP from Odin.
