Since this thread covers many methods over the years, I assume you meant the most recent one that only worked in July of this year. This method hasn't worked for anyone at all since July, so no, it won't work. The only unlock method that might still work is if the phone is miraculously still on Android 7.10 (NOT 7.11). There was a free, trustworthy script or app called DePixel8 - I know it's not available from from the official website http://theroot.ninja/ anymore, so if the phone was somehow on Android 7.10 AND you could find a copy of the DePixel8 script/app, then you *might* be able to unlock the phone. It's been four years so the details are hazy.
I wouldn't expect that the phone would be on 7.10.
I tried everything I could; even with DePixel8, and my device (v9) will not unlock. Oh well.
