Oem unlocking missing in developer options.
Late reply but models with the letters/numbers DL/U/U1/W cannot be rooted and get a proper bootloader unlock without an exploit, also to clarify
DL = TracFone's version of their phone "basically somewhat the same thing a U cuz they are a US carrier."
U = US Carrier device
U1 = US Factory unlocked device
W = Canada's device

    How To Unlock Bootloader Galaxy A12.

    - Go to Settings -> About phone and find your build number.

    - Tap on your build number 6 times until you see “You’re now a developer”.

    - Go in Developer options > enable OEM unlocking.

    - Shut Down your Phone

    - Hold Vol + & Vol - and Connect the USB-C Cable

    - Device will boot in DOWNLOAD MODE.

    - Long press volume UP to unlock the bootloader.
    ( This will wipe your data and automatically reboot your device! )

    - After Reboot the Bootloader is unlocked.

    Hi, I'm new to all this and hopefully I'm just missing something obvious. When I put my A12 into Download Mode, I have no option for a volume-up long-press, as seen in attached photo. I have an A125U model if that information is at all relevant. Developer mode is on, and OEM unlocking is enabled. Not sure where to go from here, any insight would be greatly appreciated!

    Has anyone tried to use fastboot and use the commands?
    You simply cannot use fastboot as Samsung has replaced fastboot with a proprietary replacement aka download mode
