I would advise Xda to consider it's position to allow this kind of behavior from such a bunch.
A number of people (myself included) have suggested that FunkyHuawei is not really in the spirit of XDA. Believe me, they are taking it seriously and I'd encourage you to email the team here to help them make a decision about whether the service should be allowed to continue here (I suspect, but can't say for certain, that the same person/group is behind the outrageous prices for bootloader unlock codes).

That is why I refused to buy chinese electronics products. Korean production is much better.

I had Sharp, LG, HTC, Xiaomi, Motorola, Samsung smartphones. Among them only in Samsung you can easily install TWRP and root. Just choose OEM-unlock aftre 7 days of using and install custom bootloader and ROM
This is on current Samsung phones? They were always very against user modification.

On some recent Samsung phones I read that the international model with Samsung's processor could be bootloader unlocked but the North American model with qualcumm processor could not.

Latest FH update: I emailed them yesterday and asked for a status update on my code order. It had been 10 working days at the time.
I received a response this morning advising that if I needed the code quickly, I should cancel and reorder.
I interpret this as them deliberately withholding my order in the hope that I will do just that.

Cancel an order that was $69 before so you pay $100 now and maybe get the code faster? Brilliant
IMO this suggests that unlock code retrieval time is not based on current computation power of FH equipment or luck an IMEI has in hash cracking algorithm but rather pricing given by different insider subjects to FH retrieving codes recorded in Huawei systems via currently-closed-to-public requests for a different fee. Just a common sense behind two prices for the same thing at a given time.

Shoot, I would have ordered mine if I saw that price tag, no questions asked. I'm waiting to see if there could be a potential price drop, or it can backfire on me and have another price increase and it would kill me
Like I said above, I expect them to deliberately not supply me the code so I request a refund and do a reorder.

I just mailed them saying us paying for unlimited pass should be treated like VIP [emoji846] OTHERWISE I'll keep reporting them to PayPal. Seriously, it's stupid business. You should not cancel and reorder. Keep waiting.

They might issue a refund automatically, thus cancelling the order.

I said it before and I'll say it again - FH are just taking the situation - people cannot unlock bootloaders without the code that they can somehow provide, exactly how is a mystery because the owner of FH said that he is not willing to divulge the specific steps - and just rinsing us all because they know that idiots will pay $99. I still maintain that they are sitting on a database full of codes that they obtained from somewhere (the only place they can get those details from is from Huawei). It's just massively convenient that Huawei stop providing them and FH become the rising star company that can somehow provide them.

Totally agree. That makes a lot of sense.
